Official NT dad thread: can the dads get love

Just a better and more fun party.

And you shouldn't completely stop going out. Will you be going out like you used to? Nope. But a night every once in a while to catch some drinks with the homies never hurt anyone.

This.

I enjoy getting apple juice wasted way more then going out and getting **** faced every weekend.

Henny mixes well with Motts anyway  :pimp:

Theres no party better than being with my boy. I probably step out once or twice a month. Thats good enough for me.

My main ace is my sons godfather, so it ain't like I'm never seeing my homies.

Things just change, for the better.

My son starts preschool tomorrow and I'm dreading it.  Nobody is going to care for that kid like my wife and I do and it terrifies me letting that control go.  I better end this post before I start tearing up... got something in my eye man.
I'm gonna need some e-daps today, fellas.  Drop off was super rough today.

All the new dads in this thread, I love it! LOL 2 more back to school nites until retirement :smokin

Those with more than 1 kid, do those Luvs commercials "first kid, second kid" strike you as funny? Cracks me up because that **** definitely hit home

Can't remember if I have posted in here before, but I have a son on the way. Halloween due date lol. Went through 50 cribs on amazon and they all seem like they have problems of some kind. Still looking for a good stroller and car seat system as well.

My wife and I are still in the search as well. Debating if we should go with a Britax Travel stroller or a Uppababy set. But the Uppababy set is expensive lol.

I just saw this past week one of the Britax stroller products got recalled. I guess with the cribs certain defects are to be expected whenever something is mass produced, but problems like the wood coming off and getting into the baby's mouth is a no go. The Amazon one star reviews for a lot of the best cribs have me concerned. I think I will just have to get the best crib with the lowest amount of bad reviews.

EDIT: Here is the Britax recall: http://www.digitaltrends.com/cars/facebook-post-prompts-recall-of-200000-britax-car-seats/

It's on our registry but pretty low priority for me. Heard good things about it, and 4Moms in general as a brand.

Honestly it's something you're gonna be with that will get you here and there when it comes to a stroller.

When we announced we were having a son I bought the bug a boo bee stroller for I think $700 out the door. After using it for a while I decided we needed more room.

A couple of months later I went with the orbit g2. Damn near 2 grand out the door. I can honestly say for what it's worth, I got my monies worth.

The versatility of the stroller is what makes it the best thing ever. We go out to eat a lot and at the time my son wasn't old enough to sit in a high chair and some places wouldn't allow you to park a stroller at the table. But with the orbit. The rotating seat pretty much turns the stroller into a high chair and he can sit at the table. (Or sleep) I felt bad waking him up to move him into a high chair. View media item 1678008I'll post more pictures later.

Everywhere I go people always ask me about it and they ask the price and I tell them and they always are like wtf. But I explain to them how much easier it makes it to get around and how much stuff you can pack in it and then they understand why it cost so damn much. I spend a lot of money on stupid things so there shouldn't be an excuse for me spending a little more on my son.

I have one of those quick disconnect stroller/carseat ones and it really does make a big difference. Got a couple Recaro seats waiting in the garage too once she grows a little bigger :pimp:

I HOPE my boy is that excited for his first ever day of school. Not kicking and screaming and begging me not to go

Found one locally for 300 with both the stroller seat and car seat stuff. Its the only one I saw on CL in that price range. Copped?

Congrats fam, no other feeling in the world that compares to having a son IMHO. I had my only son almost 14 years ago and it has been a rush ever since. He gets on my nerves sometimes, but I wouldn't change anything. The only regret that I have is I didn't get to spend too much time with him when he was a baby because I was constantly on deployment, but other than that it has been awesome. Congrats fam and enjoy it, because one day you'll wake up and he'll be grown before you know what hit you.
