What kind of music do y'all play for ya kiddos. For the most part I try not to play any trap music and lean more on something older or reggae or r&b

Whatever I'm in the mood for. I tend not to go crazy on the gangster stuff, but at the same time, I don't shelter them from it. I'd rather them hear it with me and see that I'm not acting crazy, than from some kid that uses the music to justify stupidity and dangerous behavior.

I dig that. I try not to play that much cause I don't want my 10 year old getting too comfortable and I have to check him

It's either no music or kids music, like nursery rhymes or Disney stuff.  These kids are only innocent for so long (basically until the little a-holes at school corrupt them) and I don't need them picking up any adult language or ideas too soon.

i played ultralight beam while my 6 year old was in the car w/ me other day.. he started laughing at the into

This is pretty much where I am. For my daughter I have a lil playlist of songs that are "acceptable". Mostly Bob Marley, John Legend, and some kid movie soundtrack songs. When she was younger I would play Only One and she'd fall asleep, had to go back to this strategy recently

It's nice to hear my son randomly sing gospel songs at home tho, makes me feel like I'm doing right by playing more than just rap

Man, let me hear "Zuka Zama" one more time

My son only likes songs his sister likes or songs from his favorite shows.

My daughter listens to pop mainly, songs from kids shows, gospel, and music that I introduce her to which is older Hip Hop and R&B. I get upset w/ my wife when she plays the radio in the car because she listens to the urban stations from time to time and my daughter picks up that nonsense.

My son will somewhat listen to anything I play but he'll ask questions and try to guess who it is if he doesn't know the song. IDK how many times he's asked me if Bob Marley is alive

My daughter's first favorite show was Pocoyo, she could've been bawlin' cryin' and that theme music come on she'd chill out. Now we've seen Home and Penguins of Madagascar movie both 30040834123 times keeps her attention

Yea, my daughter loves Home and the songs from it, helps that Charlie XCX and Rihanna have songs on the soundtrack. My son is all about Blaze and the Monster Machines, Paw Patrol, (Cpt.) Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Mickey Mouse Clubhose. Any of those gets his undivided attn, especially the songs.

Got my daughter this awhile ago:

Also have a couple of rock a bye CDs that I bought before she was born to help sleeping in the car...radiohead and U2

She'll occasionally sing the songs from frozen even when not watching and songs they sing at daycare

My daughter will watch Mickey Mouse for a moment and then want to go play but will dance to Hot Dog, Hot Diggity Dog lol we haven't found any shows she will be still for yet, can't wait tho lol

We play a variety of music. I keep it easy on the rap but he's really into Nursery rhymes via YouTube. Finger family is his jam right now.
