Official NT dad thread: can the dads get love

Daughter slept in her crib for the first time last night and put herself back to sleep when she lost her comfy spot.

It felt so good to sleep in bed without a little human between you and your wife.

dont even remember wat thats like :frown:

Every Tues to Sunday night, we always say we're gonna start "next week". It's been almost two months already

On another note, it's Friday and I can't wait to spend the entire weekend with my little girl. Between my bball league and seeing the Cap movie twice this week, she's been been asleep everytime I get home. And with her still being asleep when I leave for work, I really have to make it up to her and the wife this weekend.

This spot is in Whittier called happy feet imaging. Ya man I'm down for that. Been a while since I played. Gonna be co-Ed or all men?

Couldn't imagine doing the co sleeper thing.

I get why people opt to do it, but just wasn't for my wife and me. Though for travel purposes, it probably is easier.

Little one caught a virus from the doctors office before we had to head down to Santa Barbara. Factor in teething and dude wasn't having it.

Traveling with sick kids is the worst, so I feel your pain.  Already hard enough getting them to sleep well in a strange environment so that makes it no fun for everyone.  I remember my son caught his first cold at 3 months while we were on vacation in Maui and that was a horrible experience.  Since then, there have been a few times we decided to just pack up and head home early when a little one was miserable.

We were down there for my wife's work, so it wasn't totally a vacation...
I'm glad we were all together though she had to work.

We definitely ended the trip early, we were supposed to be there an extra day to chill (her off day) but decided it wasn't worth it. Definitely the right move.

Let me know man

My lil man been randomly waking up out of nowhere SCREAMING like if he had a freddy kruger nightmare.

Grandma did the egg thing and everything lol and it still happens.

Is it just bad dreams or something else? Anyome dealt wit this? Usually last about 2 1/2 minutes at most. I chalk it up to teething. Hes about to be 6 months.

just realized the other day I'm starting to take those late afternoon naps like my dad did back in the day.

Same here. Not sure if it's good or bad, but a 10 minute nap gets me ready to go again in the afternoon.

really helps if i can get a desk nap at work or at least a quick one on the bed when i get home before we start the late afternoon and evening agendas.
can't get mad when my son gets home and yells daddy and jumps on me with a big hug :wow:

when im off i gotta get a nap in around 2pm, i wake up everyday at 4am so I burn out pretty early.
