Damn. I just realized now I'm also responsible for getting mom a gift from baby during the holidays. Any of you Veterans have any Xmas gift ideas for a first time mom from baby? I'm thinking pandora birthstone or something like that. I hate how cliche it is but for whatever reason they still seem to eat it up.

Thanks man. Turns out he scratched the eye and just needs some ointment for the next few days. You figure a 5 year old would be able to describe what happened or explain where the pain is, but he was just freaking out saying he can't see, which to me is an emergency. Hated to take him there in the middle of the night but at least now it's done. There were some seriously sick kids in there and one girl who looked like she lost a finger, so it really made our situation feel trivial.

Damn man. Glad it turned out to be "nothing". I can already see my wife flipping out if that were to happen to us.

These past two weeks since the twins were born have been ROUGH. The earliest I've been able to sleep has been 1:30am. It'll be nice to have the next 3 weeks off starting Wed and being able to try to correct their sleep cycles though.

Glad to hear your 5 yr old's eye is ok..But you'd be surprised at how old a kid can be and still not describe what's wrong with them..My son is about to turn 9 and there will be times he freaks me out cause he's crying and can't tell me what is the problem with him, or how something feels..It's frustrating and kinda scary sometimes..

My son was 8 I think and got taco sauce in his eye, and of course he's rolling around flippin' out and my wife is trying to calm him down but he's frustrating her and she's just getting pissed so she's goes all "Black Mama" and threatens him to be still but he ain't actin' right. That's when I stepped in and calmly told him that if he doesn't be still and let me take care of it, he's going to lose his eye. He suddenly got calm and I was able to get him to open his eye so I could wipe his eye a few times with a wet cloth and we saved his vision lol

My son starts his first season of basketball tonight..It'll be the first time he's practiced bball..He can dribble pretty good for an 8 yr old, but he's definitely gonna need work on shooting..I think I'm more excited than he is..

I've been there, done that as a kid... I know how awful it feels ... I'm never going to do that to my son... Best thing that could ever happen to me as a father, I think, is to have no father and a horrible mother... I know all the things I felt as though I missed out on... I'm so excited to be a dad ...

Son will be a month old already on Tuesday. Crazy experience so far, but once I got back to worm and set up a semi routine it feels better. Iknow I should enjoy when he is this small, but I can't wait to take him to the park, movies, play catch, watch football on Sundays etc..
