this was posted on the jackson tennessee shelters FB page

This guy was signed over to RC, not bc he’s mean or bc he tears things up, but because… His owner says he’s gay! He hunched another male dog so his owner threw him away bc he refuses to have a “gay” dog! Even if that weren’t the most assinine thing I’ve ever heard, its still discrimination! Don’t let this gorgeous dog die bc his owner is ignorant of normal dog behavior! He’s in kennel 10L and he WILL be put down tomorrow bc there is no room at the inn!

As of Friday afternoon, the post was “liked” more than 1,100 times, spawned more than 2,000 comments and was shared more than 5,300 times. Luckily for Elton, a woman who was moved by the story decided to adopt him. Stephanie Fryns, who saw the story on Facebook, subsequently rushed to adopt the dog. She posted her plans on the original announcement about the pooch’s plight.

so apparently tennessee has this big issue with gaymosexuality...

theres a senator trying to pass "the classroom protection act" bill

The bill forbids teachers from discussing anything gay-related from kindergarten through 8th grade ... even banning the word "gay" itself from classroom discussion. The bill also has a provision requiring school counselors, principals, assistant principals and nurses to out potentially gay students to their parents in some circumstances.

Should've euthanized it. What if the dog escapes and goes around raping other male dogs.

Yeah I don't think anything sex/sexuality based should be brought up. I don't think it ever is in those grades really, bill may be unnecessary.

I don't think at that young age it should. I can understand why one thinks it should be I think that should be left up to the parentos

Kids might get potentially outted before they are ready to come out. That's a big deal.

And most kids take health in 7 or 8th grade. You're telling me kids that old can't handle the fact homosexuality exist, but it is cool to have them watch a graphic veido of a woman gviing birth. ****
