David Fincher: House of Cards( BEWARE OF SPOILERS) (series) starring Kevin Spacey

I think if Frank gets assasinated it will be by the newspaper guy who just went into witness protection. Either thay or he will play a part in something major.

I just got to episode 4, where Frank gets lit up. All I gotta say is I was on the fence about whether I'm team Claire or Frank before, I'm officially on team Frank from now on. Claire can eat **** and die

Also RIP Meech

That being said, I'm not getting how attacking a terrorist country is going to remove the spotlight from the fact that he lied his way to becoming a president. Unless he is planning on destroying everyone at the Herald, the story is going to stick. People don't just forget about big story like that.
Do you remember the 2004 election campaign?

Unfortunately, there was no way Bush was gonna lose with the country at war. The ppl had to let him see it through for 2 terms. That's just how it is. The amount of fear instilled in to the American ppl motivated them to keeping Bush in office believing he was the guy to stop the terrorists for w/e reason. Also let stuff like the Patriot Act pass as well cuz of 9/11.

It's one of the more massive manipulations with pure finesse the Underwoods have pulled on the show to date. They took advantage of Miller's execution to make the country panic. In our world we're kind of use to the mass shootings which is why even a rep president probably couldn't take advantage of San Bernardino but because these guys kidnapped a family, then executed him terrorist style, and put it on the internet for all to see then Frank and Claire with the pressure of the article said **** it, fine, we'll go to war and all of those allegations will be drowned out. All of those ppl fearful of immigrants taking their jobs and ISIS/ICO crossing the border too are gonna support a war just so more Americans won't be radicalized to do that to another American family.

Frank's just really propping up this terrorist situation to use it for his ends. It's smart on it's own but it really makes use of the Bush presidency and it's in another light cuz of what we know about the Underwoods.

As for him getting shot, I really didn't see it coming at all. In hindsight I can see how it looks well orchestrated but during I did not know that would happen. They didn't hint at it at all. Even with the Meachum stuff.
Have you guys finished the season yet? I am confused [emoji]129300[/emoji]
Yes. I'd say like a dozen of us have  :smh:

Not a fan of the dude they got playing Conway..

And ya boy got cold on frank and that reporter

It's funny. I've been a fan of Kinnaman since The Killing. I like dude. Happy he's broken in to movies and in to way better tv shows but before he even said a word and I saw him in the suit and this was Conway going up against Frank. I thought he was all wrong.

Now if they're just playing this as this dude is in over his head, would be a terrible president, isn't that smart, craves attention like a ***** (like Frank said), then yeah the actor can pull that off but he doesn't completely sell me on the clean cut family man which seems to be something like a younger John Edwards or something.

On another note, it really did say something about the House of Cards world when they highlighted Frank being a southern democrat which isn't unlikely but something weird given Frank's attitude and then there being a republican Governor of New York running for President which seems a bit more unlikely in these times

Deadass every president who is campaigning for a 2nd term it's looking iffy should just declare war

I've always thought this

I didn't like dude as Conway for some reason, but I think the character was meant to be like that, see-through. They made him look tall as **** though, Abe Lincoln like.

He just wasn't a believable presidential Candidate to me. Honestly my old gripe of the season. Even his personality didn't fit the role

He's only 6'2. Camera made it seem like he was like 6'5

He's not pulling off WASPy aspects of things well enough.. Like I see how he could pull off other roles well, like the killing role (didn't watch but I'm familiar with the show)

I could see him in the role of the dude from Philadelphia that frank killed, who played Yellowjacket in antman

Corey Stoll character, yep I agree exactly.

I wonder if Doug will have an epiphany now that he's getting close with this new woman.

I mean, he has to realize that everything the Underwood's touch eventually turns to ashes. Perhaps this new woman will be his saving grace and he'll pull a move similar to Remy, Jackie, and Walker. He actually knows **** and his hands are the furthest from clean, but I'm wondering if he'll try to redeem himself for this woman. :nerd:

Bush didn't have an article basically saying he manipulated people to get to the top. Not to mention people that were close to the president on record.

That's some seriously damaging journalism. Bush never had that, so using the 2004 election isn't exactly accurate.

Anyway, having finished last night, I thought this was the weakest season so far. Not to mention Claire remains incredibly annoying to me. She just tries so hard that it bugs me.

I look forward to Francis and Claire getting theirs next season.

I see this Doug storyline ending terribly man  I'm hoping he wakes up and realizes the underwoods really don't care for him, but idk..interested to see where they go his character.

Anybody find it weird how quick shorty moved on from
her dead husband tho? like dude was dead for like 2 days before she was cooking for Doug
