JRose5: The Legend Grows (Deadspin)

Damn, that's foul. They shouldn't have put pics online. He's going to get fired. They let him make it with that dui bout a year ago; this may be the final straw. Hope he doesn't.

What shaq say?

Shaq's been killing Jalen Rose on twitter, straight up embarrassing him but Jalen Rose works for espn (Disney) and hes not given the freedom to respond the way Shaq is.

ESPN - so damn PC.

Shaq is sensitive. Jalen just sounds like he's having fun with it.

So celeb kicks it with you and treats you like one of his boys and this is how you return the favor?  Internet loving attention seekers are the worst.  This is why Celebs don't sign autographs and walk right past you with your hand out for dap.  Lame.....

its disgusting man...

I aint even mad... smh @ MJ flu game. Always thought it was funny. Especially how he's treated as a hero for doing it..

Hit the nail on the head with the post. The pics were totally unnecessary - the commentary was good enough.

MJ's 'Flu Game' is the biggest joke of a 'hero moment' out there. There are millions of people who go to work when their sick - none of them get glorified for it.

Well millions do their job well and don't get glorified either. Nature of sports

I've always maintained of he was hungovs I even more impressed by the performance

Nah..I've played ball hungover before, word to the NT runs, its doable...playing the game with an actual flu, 100+ fever would be remarkable.

MJ being "hungover" is nothing more than speculation on Jalen's part and many others.  As it stands, it's the flu game.

Jalen is that dude. I hope he addresses it on the Grantland YouTube channel. I check for those several times a week.

homeboy i bet money you couldnt score 38 pts while hungover...against your local average high school team.

that performance is great, hungover or flu dont matter.

Hungover or the Flu it really didn't matter. What MJ did that game, the condition he was in, speaks volumes about his competitive nature, which is rare to see now a days. MJ was the hero and deserves a "hero moment" for his 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block performance. Chicago wasn't leaving Utah that night with a win and up 3-2 if it wasn't for him.

I always said Stockton & Malone might have won a ring if MJ didn't play that night.

 @ your panties in the bunch...MJ is the GOAT, I'm not taking it away from it at all, only the GOAT could play like that hungover.

Thank god Jordan and his partying habits avoided the world of 24 hour sports media cycle...imagining if Bron showed up hung over to a finals game, he would be torn apart :smh:

And look at Duece, up to his usual stuff...Jordan partied and gambled till like 6 in the morning routinely, that's not really speculation.

And look at Duece, up to his usual stuff...
I'm not even sure what my "usual stuff" is but I'll let that slide for now as we have more pressing matters to attend to.

Yeah Jordan partied and gambled many nights away but unless you or others have concrete evidence that proves he was hungover for this particular game this it's nothing but heresy or speculation on your end.  Your no better than Alex Jones and Co. that go around saying that George W. Bush knocked down the twin towers.........no better.  I don't want you and more importantly others to fall into the habit of falling for rumors or false reports.  You have to stick with what you know and what you prove, and you have done anything but that to sway popular opinion on this topic.

Also, let's be serious here, if anyone has every been to Utah you know the first thing you do upon arriving is go to sleep for as long as possible.  That way you can wake up as quickly as possible and get on the first thing smoking out of Utah.  There's really no time to enjoy one's self in Utah simply because there's hardly anything to enjoy in Utah.  You arrive in Utah, and you leave as quickly as possible from Utah.  Never deviating from that order.

I'll actually do you a favor and give you a little bit of wiggle room though champ.  I always say that the truth ALWAYS come to the light or rises to the top.  So with that being said if Jordan really was hungover for Game 5 eventually in time that evidence will known.  However, with that being said for NOW whether you or others like it or not it will be known as the Flu Game and you my friend will have to wait and wait very patiently if you want it to be called something else.

^Exactly, thats why I still say Barry and Lance are innocent. Where's the proof at?

Change the title has nothing to do with that guy unless you really thought all this time JRose5 was Jalen Rose.

Good thread though

"You know the media. If Vince Carter and I got into a fight in the lockerroom when I was the coach, how long do you think it would be before the information would have came out?" Micthell asked his hosts. "You think it would have taken six or seven years before it came out? Or do you think it would have come out within a day?

"You know guys can't hold water. Do you think they could have held that for six years?"

Mitchell said the logistics of the story were laughable.

"Now think about that. Vince Carter, who you couldn't make go to the weight room, picked me up over his head, spun me around like I was a pizza, like some dough on a pizza platter, and then slammed me," the former Raptors coach said.

Mitchell went on to provide his version of the story.

"Morris Peterson was lying on the training table. He got hurt in practice - like, slightly pulled his hamstring. I went down to the training room, where all the players were after practice getting treatment. I was talking to Mo, Vince came up behind me and put me in a bear hug, and I stumbled and fell on one of the training tables.

"He starts laughing and saying, 'Coach, I got you, I got you.' And I said, 'Yeah, Vince, you got me.' And the players started laughing, and that was it."

Mitchell was then asked how Rose's story evolved from a bear hug into a tale of an all-out brawl. He was quick to question Rose's credibility.

"Consider the source. You know what blows my mind? And I don't attack people because I try to take the high road, but consider where it's coming from," Mitchell pointed out. "Where in this person's history are the things that he said true? You are talking about a person who played at a university whose record has been expunged. And for what? Lying and cheating. Right?

"You spent your entire career in the NBA making a lot of money, but you never quite lived up to your potential as a player," Mitchell said of Rose. "Now you're on TV and you get to say these things. First of all, we need to stop believing that everybody on TV is credible and (that) everybody you hear in the media is credible."
