spanish speaking yamb

any tips on how to learn a new language? i heard the best way is to get a mexican mami and have her help me...

i dont know how to get mexican girls, doe... :frown:

should i watch movies w/ subtitles or without? listen to the radio in my sleep?

:nerd: :nerd:

Watch with the subtitles. So you can associate the English word with the Spanish word. It will help you speak, not write though.

I learned German, and I found it easier to learn by associating myself with people who could speak it fluently. So as I learned they were speaking and it was sinking in more.

It sounds like you're trying to go through a lot of trouble just to get the yambs.

that was just a joke..

i'm not doing this for the yambs... i'm not even into the latinas like that...

i want to do it b/c i come into a lot a people that speak spanish... i feel that it would be really helpful.

I've been wanting learn as well, or at least increase my basic skills. i live in a spanish speaking neighborhood and I'm just like que?

I learned from the people in my building and from girlfriends..

Growing up the people in my building would only speak to me in spanish

Now I'm pretty fluent in it

Even ninjahood approved my spanish speakin skills :pimp:

Took Spanish for 4 years during High school.

Still don't know all the past, present, future, subjunctive, present future, etc .. tenses :x

I learned French and Italian with this program and also used it to brush up on my Spanish and Portuguese. I took it slow and did a chapter a week (rereading the chapter over and over and replaying the audio to make sure it stuck)...took me only a few months to learn each language

I'm not fully fluent in any of these languages though. I can only understand/converse with other Americans who learned the language later on in life and speak as slowly as I do...to be fully conversational the best way is to study abroad in countries where they only speak Spanish and you HAVE to adjust to survive.

Only thing I'd say do is do a little bit of rosetta stone a day and start using random spanish words and creating sentences for your co-workers to test you on when you see them.

I want to get better at spanish too but It's just not happening without knowing someone spanish

Cuando hablando espanol a un chica bonita, siempre dice, yo quiero comer su culo. That works.
