The 67-63 2014 CLEVELAND INDIANS season thread (at CWS): Swisher out for the season.

They have struggled at Target Field (14-19), but plenty of that had to do with Mauer and Morneau.

The one thing the Twins do do well is catch the ball, though. They aren't going to give away outs, and neither can the Indians. That's how you lose to teams you shouldn't lose to.

Thought I'd investigate the Target Field numbers a little deeper.

Speaking of poor defense...

In the 33 games there, the Indians have committed 24 errors, leading to 19 unearned runs.

This season: 3-3, five errors and four earned runs.

Have to clean it up.

I'm going to the game Saturday at Noon. Going to get drunk and yell obscenities in the general vicinity of Drew Stubbs.

If the Indians, Rays and Rangers all finish with identical records, we now know that...

The Indians will host the Rays on Monday.

The winner is the home field wild card team.

The loser will then go to Arlington and face the Rangers for the second wild card spot on Tuesday.

The official wild card game will be played on Wednesday.

There's no scenario in which we'd be on the road Monday right? Worst case is a Monday home game?

Just got back from the game... empty, bad vibe. Our roster is embarrassing.

Congrats on your Wild Card berth though! Provided the Triple-A Twins featuring Collabello, Presley, Mastrioanni, Parmelee, Dozier, Florimon, and the rest of the village idiots figure out how to play baseball.

Yep.

No idea how the rotation is going to go.

Jimenez pitches tomorrow, and Francona said that isn't changing, no matter what.

If everyone is kept in order, that would mean:

Salazar on Monday
McAllister on Tuesday
Kluber on Wednesday

Of course, if they win tomorrow and no tiebreaks are necessary, things become way more open-ended. All hands on deck for the wild card game.

Whatever the case, though, there is no indication that Masterson would be ready to start any of those three games.

Game times:

If there's a two-way tie after tomorrow, the tiebreaker will be at 8 on Monday.

If there's a three-way tie, the first tiebreaker will be at 4 on Monday; the second, at 4 on Tuesday.

The wild card game will be at 8 on Wednesday.

anybody going Wednesday?  Been lurking eBay all day, prices for tickets I want are around $250

I'll be there. Got tickets through the Indians email subscriber presale last week. Would have gladly shared the password if any of you didn't get one, but they were unique codes and I had to look out for number one.

I don't know what exactly you're looking for, reazsal, but I would say StubHub will probably offer a better solution than eBay.

You can at least get in the gate and have an actual seat for under a bill each right now. Not really a bad view anywhere.
