2013 New York Yankees season thread Vol. (85-77) OFFSEASON

Pretty good start by C.C. Just gotta work on the control a tad.

We all know dude is a workhorse, but Girardi really should stop letting him pitch into the 8th, unless he has a shutout. There is nothing to gain by trying to get him through 8 when he is over 100 pitches.

Nevermind.... Let C.C. pitch 200 pitches.

I got love for D-Rob, but he's not closer material. Throws way too many pitches |I .

He better not blow this for CC.

We should have just overpaid Soriano to keep him.

Robertson is a good pitcher. But he can't handle Mo's shadow. Hell most pitchers can't. Soriano on the other hand didn't give a damn enough to worry about it.

Mo gets every borderline strike call just because he is the GOAT...

And I DON'T CARE. :smokin

Phew.

And right there is why Robertson won't be able to take it over.

The reaction alone when Mo came out after he struggled, will stick with him.. Then Mo comes in and gets the out.

I swear every time I see or talk to my mother she's in her jewish brooklynite accent "What are we gonna do wit out Mahriahno?!", and I say "They'll figure something out...". Though I dont really believe that after watching that.

Sure going to miss Mo man
Even Yankee haters will miss him

.  He's class personified, not to mention one of the greatest closer ever

Overpaying Soriano to be the 8th inning guy for another year, then closer would have probably been worth it..

First 4-out save for Mo since 2011 I think. Thought of D-Rob closing is really worrisome.

Need to smack around Boston this weekend.

Yup, July 2011. It seemed wrong at first but I keep forgetting he missed all last year.

I'm curious to see how Hughes will look out of the pen. I don't think we'll see 09 Hughes but you never know what a few extra MPH's will do.

I have a feeling we don't see Hughes get many meaningful innings out of the pen at this point.
