Well, expectations aren't too high for this year. The bandwagon is looking pretty thin. And excitement for opening day is probably the lowest it's been since the 90's. That said, I am really looking forward to this year. I'm excited to see what the "bridge" pieces we've brought in will do and if they can turn this season into something worthwhile.

Let's see how it comes together. New coach, new faces, new medical staff...should be a different feel this year. Try and get excited for it :lol:

one or two injuries and we're going to sink real fast. but if we stay pretty healthy, we won't finish in the basement this year, or even close to it.
 
today we acquired mike carp from seattle. whopping .255 lifetime hitter and a stellar .213 last year. **** yeah :pimp:

Seriously though, you're going to laugh when you see how much he sweats. Dude will be swimming in that uniform in the nyc heat.
 
as a number 4 guy (where he's slated imo), we can't expect too much. i don't have high hopes for him pitching in the AL East either. but let's see what we can get. we really just need the guy to eat some innings without putting us into huge holes. i guess overall, don't get too high on him :lol:

Is today our only chance to lead the division this season :lol:

No expectations this season. Hoping all these young guys come to play and maybe we can surprise some people (myself included)
 
yeah i think it's a year to sit back and just see what some of the younger guys can do. we're actually not awful at full strength...but as soon as the injuries start (and they will), we'll be ******.
