This video is terrifying dude. Look at 2:28 though. You can see a hand holding the elevator open on the left side that doesn't look like it could be her.

I don't think so. If you pause the video at 2:27, you can see that she's walking away and the thing is popping out. It looks like a really weird angle to me to be her foot

If you replay from 2:26-2:29 over and over, you can see the motion in which she plants and turn her foot. The transition is too seamless for it to be someone's hand. By the time you watch it over and over, you can also notice the faint shadow of the transitioning when she picks up her left foot too.

This hotel is near Skidrow in Downtown LA so it's definitely not one of the safest places to stay at.

That foot/hand thing at 2:28 had me shook for a min.....especially the fact that there's no volume makes it's hella creepy

She was scared of someone that's for sure. As soon as she went into the elevator she hit like 4 buttons..
But, IMO, nobody was outside of the elevator while she was in it. She wouldn't have been sticking her head out and looking around. And then step outside and go back in...

Like someone had control of the elevator and was making it stay open until she went a different route and got her. They knew where all the cameras were and took her up the stairs to the roof..Also was able to access the roof.
I haven't read the article yet, does it mention anything a out the roof? Like a cut lock?

her hand movements are really suspicious, i think she was on something and the paranoia got the best of her,
could be meth or something like bath salts, basically anything that gets your heart pumping like crazy.
those types of substances are also known to cause severe paranoia, i also know from dealing with friends who smoked the stuff,
my really good friend of mine thought people were sneaking into his house and leaving bags of drugs to get him in trouble,
this one time he called me all crazy saying he got them on camera, so he shows me this video...and its nothing, dude was pointing out shadows.

Imagine when the door wouldn't close. I bet her paranoia went through the roof.
Then, maybe, she went to the stairs, paranoia out of control, thinking someone is behind her and just kept running. Next thing you know, she's on the roof trying to hide...
Edit - the tank was 10-15' tall, she was naked and the lid was on the tank? Hmmmm

Did the elevator move up, or down, after she left?
I ask only because from the moment she first entered, up until the point where the elevator closes for the second time, the background--where the windows are--was black (start - ~3:26). After opening for the second time, toward the end of the vid, the background has changed to an ominous red, which I thought was hella creepy (3:26 - end).
If the change in background was due to a change of floors, then that's a bit reasonable. Though, it makes you ponder why and how the elevator would move only after she had gotten out, and not that whole time when she was in there.

whats creepy is watching that elevator door open and close.....minutes after she was in that same elevator trying to get that same door to close and operate.
also, the first thing she does is walk onto the elevator and very nonchalantly(almost playfully) swings around with her finger and proceeds to... press buttons for 4 floors?
she doesnt appear under duress upon entering the elevator. its only after she presses the button for 4 floors, and the thing doesnt shut, that it appears that things turn really weird.
I don't know. to get on an elevator and press 4 floors, shows something wasnt right in her brain from the onset. even if you are in despair and trying to get away from somebody, the body language and subsequent action doesn't fit the profile.

Also, near 2:58 you can see the time stop at the bottom. When it starts again the door is already closing, it goes from fully open to nearly a quarter of the way shut.
