The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I agree with basically everything in this video. Three most important points:

1) Developers should absolutely stop hyping games years out in advance. There's really no point. People want instant excitement and gratification, not long drawn out waits. You're better off releasing info when your product is almost complete. i.e. damn near in alpha at least, instead of showing cut scenes years in advance.

2) Folks need to stop complaining about pushbacks and lack of games. You're a liar if you say you don't have a backlog to play. I haven't shed a single tear about the lack of exclusives and new ip's to drop so far this generation. The vast majority of us own 2,3, or 4 systems and have tons of games we never got around to. Take a chill pill, kick back, play some games you didn't get to. Or some classics. Or some indies. Whatever. Just stop acting like the release of new console exclusives are all that matters, when really those are the icing on an already pretty good cake.

3) There's almost guaranteed to be some really quality games releasing this year that have not been announced. This kind of loops into the first point. I'd bet anything that some developers have already wised up and figured they can wait to drop info closer to an actual release date, rather than string folks along for literal years.

Still waiting for next-gen re-release...my PS3 is not coming back out of retirement.

Man, the voice acting in the FFXV demo is atrocious. Resident Evil 1996 parody territory.

I know it's a demo and I'm sure they'll fix it for the final release, but it's really rough graphically and performance wise.

The combat is really great and the world seems interesting enough, though.

Voice acting in the demo isnt even the worst VO in the last 12 months.

Yeah, there's a lot of horrid voice acting out there, but I was talking about FF XV. I don't know if they're going for a intentional B-movie vibe or if it's just a Japanese preference, but it's very off-putting and campy.

What are some games that you feel have worse voice over work?

Lets keep the FF XV talk to a minimum, I'm waiting to finish Type-0.

Second time seeing this comment though :smh:

What equals bad VO? Is that where the mouths and words don't match? I rarely pay attention to stuff like that.

Any recommendations for 2TB HDDs? My brother just bought XenoVerse and GTA V and I just had to delete a few things. I have Bloodborne coming Tuesday and this man just said he about top Hardline also, I don't know what else to delete :smh:

Got shot down at Walmart when I tried to buy Bloodborne. It wouldn't allow them to ring it up. Dude said "someone is getting in trouble for putting these out too soon"...lol

If $ony doesn't support external support soon enough for you.
I'd recoomend that nyko data bank and a 2tb-4tb Western Digital hard drive. WD is very reliable.

Amazon product ASIN B00UA55ZRI
Amazon product ASIN B008YAHW6I
If you just want a 2.5 hdd. There's a seagate. Seagates aren't the most reliable, just keep that in mind.

I think I might just go with this Amazon product ASIN B00MI19WXK
I think they'll release external eventually but I need to upgrade now. Bloodborne, Hardline, GTA V, Type-0 HD, XenoVerse all will be in rotation for a good while. On top of all that, my USB ports are always filled; flash drive for music and headset.
