The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

So everybody's passing on COD for Killzone? Trying to find out what the best first person shooter is going to be at launch. That way I can get Fifa 14, 2k14 and a first person shooting with that buy 2 get 1 free deal.

I think more people here are getting Battlefield

^ Just know they're NOTHING like Call of Duty or Battlefield. So if you played those games, dominated too, don't go into Shadow Fall thinking you'll be finishing where you left off.

I really don't want to get 2 shooters, but i wanna finally try kz out, and bf4 (another game i never played)  cause it looks to fun to pass up

Oh nooz, no day 1 mp3 support... Guess we'll wait for the update... So remind me again, what update is adding those missing ~0.5 Tflops to the XBone?

I'm thinking the same

Was thinking of getting BF, 2k, and KZ with the Target deal but I don't want to get too many shooters with Destiny coming up next Spring. Probably gonna go with AC4 instead of KZ

you're wasting your money if you're copping ac for retail.

Sony spends a few thousand dollars for TaketheOath.com as PS4 launch date nears

According to WHOIS records, the name switched hands this week from its previous owner to Sony.

It’s anyone’s guess what “Take the Oath” will be.  At the time of this story, there is no website present at taketheoath.com.

PS4 Will Make PS3's 'Good' Online Experience 'Excellent']

Sony’s next generation console may be launching at a much lower price-point than its predecessor, but SCEE president Jim Ryan reckons that it will improve upon virtually every facet of its current flagship format. However, according to the likeable executive, one area that’s been given the greatest overhaul is the system’s online suite.

Quizzed about the platform’s agreeable €399.99 price point by Dutch network RTL News, the smiling suit noted that he’s thrilled that the device is launching at a significantly lower sum than its predecessor. “I launched the PlayStation 3 seven years ago at €599.99,” he beamed. “I decided that I never want to do that again.”

But will the cheaper price tag result in a significant step forward? “You’re still going to get that ‘wow’ experience,” Ryan continued confidently. “You’re going to see everything that you ordinarily see when you transition from one console generation to the next. So, improved processing power, better graphics – but I think that the most interesting thing is the vastly improved online capabilities.”

The executive pointed out that when the PS3 launched, its network functionality was basic. “It got better over time,” he added, “but what we really want to do is take something that’s good now, and turn it into something that’s really excellent.” The firm’s aiming to do that by incorporating social network functions, such as the ability to share gameplay experiences and more.

“The ability for people to communicate with each other is vastly improved,” he concluded. “You’ll be able to watch your friends playing their games, and they’ll be able to watch you. You’ll be able to help them, and they’ll be able to help you. So, it’s about taking the way in which people live their lives in this day and age, and embedding them into the gameplay as part of the game experience.”

Those Rumours of a Naughty Dog Game Set in Space Have Been Officially Grounded

It’s only natural that the prospect of a new Naughty Dog game would inspire rumours and speculation. One such rumour currently orbiting the Internet is that the lauded developer’s next game may be set in outer space.

The recent news that several Naughty Dog employees visited Elon Musk’s private aerospace company SpaceX only gave more gravity to this tantalising piece of hearsay.

However, it seems that this particular rumour is utterly weightless. A recent Twitter post from Naughty Dog co-president, and official crusher of dreams, Christophe Balestra stated: “Visiting SpaceX. And no, we’re not making a game that takes place in space. We just got invited because we’re cool.”

New PS4 Trailer Shows Hardware Features of the Console, a Minute of Close-up PlayStation Beauty

A new trailer of the upcoming PS4 has just hit the internet, focusing on the features of the console. Not only it shows the lovely piece of kit in all its beauty for about a minute and a half, but it also lists its hardware specs.

In terms of pure, unadulterated console porn, I doubt it can get much better than this. While we already knew the specs listed, a recap in this form definitely isn’t unpleasant to watch.

Is there anyway I can hook up the DS4 to my computer?

If so I guess I can play cod with mechs on my PC with my DS4 if possible

Just came from making another deposit at GS and dude told me there will be police escorting customers to their cars for the midnight launch. I'm cool with that.

Was hoping to play the DriveClub demo but it wasn't available. Played FIFA and Knack instead. FIFA looked really good as expected. Knack was ok, it really is a game for everyone. I can definitely see myself playing the free version.
