The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Sony needs to not only introduce new titles as they are doing but also bring back classics like people said..

I haven't played a cool snowboarding game since 1080 snowboarding on the n64 and cool boarders...

Or they should call Sega up and bring Shenmue(sp)..

Also virtual tennis for the Dreamcast was dope!!!!
what a huge coincidence u said this. just last night coming out of firehouse subs i saw a mom and pop gaming store. went in, ended up buying a n64 and a collection of games i used to have. was playin 1080 snowboarding till i had to go to work a few hours ago

^If you post that over there, prepare to get attacked. Heaven forbid you post anything negative there. You're considered a troll if you do.

People keep saying Knack looks like its not worth $60. Why is that? Considering a huge chunk of you guys every year throw $60 to play 2k, madden, COD, Fifa
I mean the answer to that is kind of obvious but if you need it broken down for you... it's multiplayer.

I don't mind spending $60 on a game without multiplayer. But for that to happen the game has to wow me. I have to be interested in the storyline, the gameplay, the graphics, everything. For a game with multiplayer I don't have to be wowed. All I need to know is that I will enjoy playing the multiplayer for at least a few months.[/quote]

I play a lot of multiplayer games, but having online multiplayer has never been a factor in buying a game for me. I've beaten the Ratchet & Clank games multiple times. There's all of the collectibles to unlock weapons or skins. Challenge mode. Omega weapon upgrades in challenge mode. And I just replay those games a lot because they're fun.

I think the "everything must have multiplayer" wave has ended. There were some ridiculous tacked on multiplayer modes in games that didn't need them. Some people still liked the multiplayer, but games like Batman, Mass Effect, Dead Space, BioShock, Assassin's Creed, and God of War did not need multiplayer. Let the games that are better suited for it or who focus on multiplayer handle it.

I can see exactly how a game like Knack doesn't appeal to people. I have friends who want nothing to do with CG animated kids movies, but I don't even care. Toy Story 3 was bigger than Star Trek or The Avengers for me. But I still like mature gritty dramas and action flicks too. I'll watch Toy Story, but then I'll watch Heat, Gladiator, or Training Day.

GameStop will hold special PlayStation 4 pre-launch events on Sunday, November 10 at all United States stores, the company announced today.

As part of the one-day events, GameStop will offer triple trade-in bonus credit when customers turn in hardware, resulting in 90 percent extra in-store credit, but only if applied to paying off a PS4 they already preordered. Software trade-ins will yield the normal credit values.

It doesn't take a lot of pages to say...
