that whole customizing thing is garbage, the only reason the Pin exists is because all the stuff youre looking for that isnt on the Home button is screens away (unintuitive) and even when you throw all that stuff on Pin, its still unintuitive, its just moving stuff around to your personal liking, a bunch of blocks thrown together, those images with like 30 pins are disgusting

Don't get me wrong the XMB is cool, liked it ever since I first used it on the PSP. Is it "uninspired?" No....every design is inspired by something. I disagree with the customizing is garbage tho. Why shouldn't I be able to personalize my ecosystem to my liking? That's like you not being able to move apps you frequent to certain pages/screens on your phone. You text a lot but Apple/Android says oh wait you can't customize your own screen so its gonna be all the way over here 2 screens away. And that blue screen? Nope can't change that either, no matter how much you hate it (I don't my screen is actually the blue one now on my PS3

). Again, I don't think the UI is bad. I just want an intermediary.
 
I honestly don't know why people were and are still in a rush to get rid of their good working PS3's.

I mean if you got enough money to buy a PS4 and still keep the PS3 you should keep both consoles.

I'm keeping my PS3 still because I have so much free and paid digital PS3, & PS2 games, digital content stored on the hard drive.None of that stuff will carry over or can be downloaded onto your PS4.Also we don't know when & how much Sony's Gaikai service is going to cost and if people think the service is going to have a lot of PS3 games or all of them from the start of the service you guys are fooling yourselves.

You still can also use the PS3 and as a blu-ray player to watch movies and use it for a media player/server also.

Then there are still a couple games coming out for it like GT6 and The Last Of Us has a story mode DLC pack releasing soon, Bioshock Infinite's first DLC just released also, GTA V isn't getting ported over to PS4 and R* hasn't given any hint they will even make GTA Online available to PSN for PS4, and if you got PS+ people still get monthly free games for it also.

Haven't beatin GTA and haven't started on Batman, so yeah I'm still good on next gen for while. I just need consumer reviews before I choose a system.

Not really sure how I feel about it, it's def better than the XMB - although it still retains some of the XMB feel, but don't see anything 'awe - inspiring' either. I wish Sony would take a lil dive with a next gen type of UI too. I understand simply, fluid and functional is easier, but you can still make a beautiful design with great transition simply, fluid and functional. I was at least hoping it looked far better than Xbox One UI, which is nice, but just a shadow of Metro UI. Then again, Sony has never been known for their great UI. Call it nitpicking, but as a graphic designer, I expect better things from a company who builds on design like Sony.

Hopefully we can change the background color like we could on PS3, or have an animated background or something, idk

Purchased a Watch Dogs bundle on Amazon that got demoted to a Launch Console pre-order and when hearing about the BOGO coupon that some people were getting I chatted with a rep and complained about not getting the code. Rep listened and just told me to go ahead and order a game and she'll handle it. Simply enough, I did and 5 minutes later I see this in my orders:

Didn't get to order another game or anything yet. Props to the amazon rep if this actually goes through. :smokin

Yea, you're probably right. Some people probably felt that they could just walk in and out any store at launch with their ps4. I have a few friends looking up on Ebay and CL to buy one now.

Time for me to head back over to target to swap out this COD: Ghosts for something I actually want to play. Hopefully it won't be as annoying as Sunday was.

Only me and one other cat preordered.. I just sit back and say y'all dumb. Throw money around on sports betting but can't throw a 25 or a 100 on a preorder if you're still on the fence.
