Ok so the guy from sony just told me to just send the system back and no wires or controllers. Does this mean I get a new system or my old one back?

I had to send mines back as well. They are sending us new systems, that have been tested to make sure they work properly.

Gran Turismo 6

.... wait, its a PS3 game :x

GT6 has barely launched, but already the masterminds behind the legendary racing simulator are working on the next one. Yes folks, word is Gran Turismo 7 will land next year.
Fingers crossed, anyway. At this year's Los Angeles Motor Show, TG.com was snooping around the evil, gorgeous, and really quite evil looking AMG Vision Gran Turismo, when who else should pop up than Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
Resisting the temptation to challenge him on the game itself, he told us how the PlayStation 3's hardware was pushed to the very limit while making GT6, but that the next console, the PS4, should make everything easier for the seventh instalment.
"We don't want to take too long on Gran Turismo 7," Kazunori told us. "Best-case scenario? Next year. In GT6 we really had to tune the software 100 per cent to maximise the PS3's architecture, but of course the PS4's hardware is much better, so I think the overall quality of the game across the board will be boosted when you come to play it".
So what about Forza? Is Kazunori and his team concerned about his chief rival? "We always respect our competition," he says. "The racing genre isn't really that big in its entirety, so I'm glad that everyone works hard to boost the genre as a whole."
The man knows his games, clearly - so much so he practices every day on Gran Turismo 6 with a three-screen setup. Largely to help him do his other job: racing in the VLN. "We've set up my car on GT6 exactly the same as the car we take to the Nürburgring [a Lexus IS-F]; suspension, aero, even the rear wing angles." This is expert level geekery in action, though it comes with good reason: Kazunori's actually quite terrified of the ‘Ring.
"It's such a dangerous track, I get scared every time I race around it. Cars crash and burst into flames, launch into the air, it happens all the time. It's more of an adventure than a race sometimes."
He's even had his own adventure too; one that draws a painful parallel. "In the VLN once I crashed on the same corner that Niki Lauda crashed on all those years ago. We had three cars lined up next to each other, going in at around 220km/h (137mph), and the cars just hit each other. I swung off into a wall." Luckily, Kazunori was OK, but his IS-F, erm, wasn't.
Not that this has stopped his bravado, mind. More humble a man you will never meet, but when we talk Stig, his face lights up. "I sat next to Stig on track once. He spoke to me in morse code, I think. He's very good, I like the way he drives. He drives more like a street racer than a track racer, the way he controls the car, letting it slide. I like his style.
"But I think he was more nervous that I was in the car with him."
Come on Kazunori-san. Only ducks terrify the Stig.

I just want some JRPGs bruh. Playstation 2 was the last console that provided a good amount of them. One of the things that made me sad about the last generation of consoles was that there were so few of them in comparison.

I just bought a ps3 so I could play some of the psone classic FF games to get my fix. Oh yeah question, how do the psone classics look and play on the Ps3? Im new to this.

Yea the RPG situation was bad but there were a ton of them on PSP last gen and they are cheap now on PSN.
I'm hoping the PS4 being easy to develop for will bring them back to consoles though.

PSone classics work great on the PS3

Anyone bought a Vita for their PS4? Is it worth it? Thinking of copping with $ made from trading in my XBox

I can't test it yet but I know it was one of the features Jetpac was looking forward too so he might have.

Here are some videos though.

Call Of Duty definitely isn't the game to judge the difference between last generation and this one. I bought it and returned it in under 24 hours. Take a look at Killzone, and the new Need For Speed.

It didnt add funds to my wallet, it just checked out... I thought you had to actually add funds to buy something on there

my ******ed *** fault tho

^
My vita should be here today, will post my impressions.

To dude saying he might list on CL for a quick buck, good luck. I've had mine listed all week at $500 and can't give it away. Gonna end up returning it to amazon

Playstation Plus Year Membership + $8 Credit | $39 | Use code SUPER20 P

Gamestop will have Playstation Plus on sale for $30 on Black Friday, which is all good and well if you want to go to a Gamestop on Black Friday and they don't sell out of cards. For the rest of us, hit up Rakuten today to get a year of Plus for $39, and an additional $8 Rakuten credit. If you don't count the credit, it's still one of the cheapest prices every on Plus ever, if you do, it's only $1 more than the Black Friday deal.P

This was on Monday, looks like it's back to regular price now though. Sorry for not posting it.

or you could just list it at $450 (basically retail + $20). i'm sure someone would love to scoop it up from you

I like the idea of remote play, but am not into portable gaming.

Can't wait for Vita TV though.  If it works the way it's supposed to.....

Vita TV + Going all digital this gen = ability to take your ps4 and games with you by just caring a little box.

Looks like the menus were made 5 minutes before they shipped the game

Next year I'm sure it will be good again. It's the one thing that needs to happen when you rush a game to meet the deadline. They did improve the overall gameplay though and by doing that they had to remove some like leaderboards and whatnot, but most likely all the good features that didn't make it in 2k14 will be in 2k15

i honestly thought my game was still installing and once it was finished it would look "normal"

Same here, I played some pretty good JRPGs current gen like Star Ocean, Tales of Vepseria, Graces F, Xillia, FF 13, 13-2, Lost Oddyssey, Blue Dragon etc. but the PS2 had more JRPGs than I could remember. I really hope the PS4 picks back where the PS2 left in terms of JRPGs.

PSOne classics look the exact same in my opinion. I don't think there were any changes made, I have had FF7-9 for awhile now and never noticed anything different, same with the PS2 classics.
