They did announce party chat, and chatting across different games or consoles(vita/ps4).

... But w/ the remote play do u need to buy the game for both your PS4 and Vita to switch between consoles like that?

Yes but more and more games are being sold as a package meaning you can get the vita version for 60 and it comes with the ps3 version or vice versa

Look at the sly cooper game that just released

youve confused remote play with cross buy and cross play

for REMOTE PLAY you DONT need to buy 2 copies, thats only for cross buy/play

remote play has you playing games off ps4 through your local network, cross play has you playing games on the vita

Cam(Kinect) on required for X1 to play, but it comes with system.
Cam(Eye) not required for ps4, doesn't come with system. $60 MSRP


You can apparently "pause" Kinect though so it isn't watching your every move though.

so the kinect actually comes with the X1?? cool. I'm glad you told me that, I already preordered that system and was thinking I had to order the cam to play and was about to look for that. I read the cam stays on all the time, so I'm assuming you can just do what I do with my laptop camera and tape a piece of paper over the eye..



So the Eye is not required for the Ps4? I just want to be sure...although I may just go ahead and cop anyways because of the vids it looks ill.

Camera is not required but it does do some cool stuff with the controller.


For you all guys who want to get the Vita, you won't regret it but Gamescom might be the time to get one. They'll probably announce a price drop and have a bundle with Killzone Mercenaries which looks stunning.
There was a multiplayer vid of it at E3 but I'm at work at the moment so I can't search for it.

Also, looks like ps4 is doing well here in the UK.

It depends where you go. I reserved on Tuesday, called the same location and they said there's more reserves left. Only thing is they're not allowing more than one per household but money talks.

Yea, but by now those are gone. At most, a store took 25 pre-orders. The one per household is a good thing, IMO. Gives a chance for alot more people to get it. Imagine if it wasn't. A reseller's dream.

I meant to say I called this morning on my way to work. It really depends on the area. The one near my home gets a lot traffic when big releases are coming so I expect them to have lots. There were 30 something people ahead of me,

PS2 was a resellers dream because Sony shipped only 500,000 units. I'm sure that won't happen this time.

I was guaranteed to have it on launch day, too.

It depends.

Notice how they didn't say the release date in Japan. If there is a lot of demand they would release later in japan and bring all the stock to NA and EU and with the momentum they have now it will not surprise me if that happens.
They might however spread the stock across NA, Europe and Japan and aim for a worldwide release. Now that is when it will be a resellers dream.
