Amazon sent me an email


Thank you for pre-ordering the PlayStation 4.

We are writing to inform you that we received additional PlayStation 4 "Launch Day Edition" consoles and have upgraded your order from the "Standard Edition." We've also upgraded your shipping speed to free Release-Day Delivery at no cost to you. This means you'll receive your order the day the console is released (the two editions are identical other than the release-day promise).

You do not need to take any action or make any changes to your current order. Thank you again for your order.

Kinda happy, I might have the flip if there is money to be made tho and purchase again when the hype dies down. Im most looking forward to ffxv which I doubt is a launch game
 
I preordered mine at game stop. Imma need to get a cam too. Any idea how much that'll cost? Very excited

I ended up preordering one at a bb near my job yesterday but I wanna kno how do u guys kno if ur getting a release day console? Found a GameStop that is still taking pre orders so I can just go there & cancel my preorder at bb

stores dont know how many theyre getting in on release day, my guess is that theyve been given a "conservative" allocation by their corporate who's been given one by sony

some places are telling people how many have pre-ordered before them while others arent

did the best buy pre order but dude wouldnt tell me how many people were ahead of me

I was thinking about doing the same. I asked customer service and they told me to talk to my local store. Called them and the associate was an unhelpful idiot. I'll try talking to bb again and if they can't guarantee I'm gonna check my local gs.

I wouldn't put it past bb employees to pre order whenever and take them all.

I guess I'll just go to gs & be safe. I dnt stay in a big city but w/ that being said u never know
 
Sony NEVER brings any of their white console versions to the US in a timely matter. That white PS4 mock up is awesome but it sucks knowing we won't get it until the 6th year the console is out

White PS3 just came out in the US recently.

Was #1 at my local gamestop. Just had no idea what game to pre-order. Also, dude told me that there were a limited amount of controllers. I'm guessing they had as many ps4 controllers as ps4's.
 
Im just going to go to the midnight release and get one.

Wish I had a connect at one of the video game stores

That's good business.  Sony knows that people covet a white console.  Only god knows why.  So why release it at launch, when you can wait to your sales have cooled off and then release it and attract new buyers, or double-dippers willing to sell their first console just to get that glorious white one.
