The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

"Fallout 4 has (apparently) been absent from E3 this year. However, behind closed doors, Bethesda gave details and a 37 second trailer for the upcoming Fallout 4. Pete Hines of Bethesda is keeping tight lipped about the 45 minute presentation, but it seems there was a leaker inside who was willing to give this information.

> Fallout 4 has been in development since January 2011 by a small team, as the majority were working on Skyrim.

> As of February 2013, the team working on Fallout 4 is the size of the team which was working on Skyrim. This is due to Skyrim development ending.

> As it stands now, Fallout 4 will release on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. However, this is still subject to change.

> The actual announcement for Fallout 4 will come BEFORE E3 2014, but will NOT launch in 2014.

> The expected launch is in October 2015.

> The game is (as of June 2013) 55% complete, consequently, voice actors will be hired towards the end of 2014.

> There is no planned multi-player, but there is a possibility of Co-Op locally.

> The game will take place in Somerville, Cambridge, Arlington (and surrounding areas). The main setting is in a Post-Apocalyptic Boston. However, this area will not be immediately accessible.

> The story is not clear, however, Vaults exist.

> The 37 second trailor starts starts with a half-broken phone sparking. The scene pulls out slowly with the stereotypical music you would hear. Slowly you work out the scene is pulling out of a belltower. As it pulls further out, you see a destroyed town around. This is Boston. Suddenly, you hear the bell chime loudly, and the screen changes black instantly. The words of Ron Pearlman are heard "War... War never changes...". The logo for Fallout 4 appears with the 5 platforms above listed.

Aside from all the rumours, this is the only confirmed news. It just looks like we have another 2 years before we'll be able to play the game

Tools of Destruction and A crack in Time were really good. Cemented Ratchet and Clank as my favorite 3D platformer.

I have a feeling there's a proper Ratchet and Clank game in development to tie in with the movie.

That's what I'm hoping. Insomniac can take my money if they make another R&C.

I wonder when devs will cease making games for this generation. I mean the complain about the high studio budgets of making games for PS3 and 360, now they're tacking on PS4, One too.

I just hope PS4 games dont suffer in quality because the dev is trying to squeeze in the PS3 version (and other consoles too).

How are you liking the game?
I really like it so far. It's fun being a super space ninja.
Also, I really hope that the developers actually go through with their plans to have progress carry over between Steam and PS4. It would be great to keep all the progress that I have made in the game.

by december of next year, almost all 3rd party games are still going to be cross gen

to publishers, install bases of 140 million (and growing) > 20 million

we'll be settling for direct-x 9 games for a while

I hope my PS4's wont fall victim to theft by the post office, UPS or FedEx.
Every brown box with that smiley face will be easy pickins on Dec 31st :smh:

I don't mind the first batch. At least if it craps out I know I'll be getting a new one, and not a refurbished one.

what smiley face?

Mine may come up missing anyways delivery man has a bad habit of leaving my packages out side and nobody signs for them............

i had mine since 2006/early part of 2007 and it didnt mess up until about 2010. i dont think the PS4 will have these same issues the PS3 had.

What went wrong with it and was it an expensive fix? I ended up buying 3 360s:smh:

I had a launch 60GB that bricked when I first booted up Final Fantasy XIII. So thatd be 3 1/2 years

That said, I put EASILY 2000+ hours on it, with 1000 being COD4.

Preordered mine last week with battlefield 4...hope they officially put out a release date soon I'm getting anxious.
