The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

word, thats my thinking. no matter HOW good a game is, its not worth buying an entire system for. i cant name 3 games that are coming out on the xbox1 that i care about, which is why i switched to ps4 to begin with. xbox is marketing titanfall as the ultimate shooter right now but i really just dont see it. looks like armored core meets crysis. not to mention no single player at all. as for the titans themselves, most of the reviews are saying theyre whatever because people jump on your back from anywhere and kill you in under 20 seconds and have PLENTY of weapons to do so from afar as well. If xbox wasn't feeding the hype machine to get people thinking this game is the cod/bf killer, nobody would think it is at all.

Lmfao at trying to downplay Titan fall.

Titanfall is published byEA, right?

Any concern that titanfall may suffer the same as BF4?

$500 for 1 game? Yeah, right.

I think it's fine that the Titans aren't all that overpowered. And the campaign is intertwined with multiplayer.

There's always this concern with EA.

Were all getting the HD remastered versions. Are the Collectors editions still available? I will
purchase this Friday when I get paid.
Amazon has the special edition which comes with an artbook and limited edition case. The Collector's Edition comes with those two items as well a soundtrack and 5 lithographs but that can only be ordered through square enix online store. I ordered both CE for LR:FF and FF X/X-2 HD, they should get here on 3/18

How many hours did you play before it got "good."
I played ac3 for about  7 hours before it got good.
Was that similar for you with ac4?

I'd say thats about right. The beginning wasn't as slow as AC3, but the game has gotten much better than what it was at the beginning.

Will be selling fifa 14 to preorder infamous. I can't with fifa 14 first fifa that I'm not feeling since 05'.

Gonna have to give AC4 a run myself.

I got it free with a graphics card I bought a couple weeks back.. I started the first part where I blow up the other ships but haven't played since.. I think I stopped right when I swam to shore.

AC4 was just too damn boring for me. I kept telling myself that it would get better (it has pirates, how could it not?) but I just couldnt get over sailing all thos miles, think Im done with the AC franchise, haven't really liked it since AC2, Brotherhood wasnt too bad either

PlayStation Home Getting Trophies in New Update
Better late than never?
by Luke Karmali MARCH 11, 2014
PlayStation Home is set to get Trophy support later this week, Sony has confirmed.

PlayStation Europe community manager Chris Owen announced on Twitter that the change would be coming tomorrow, March 12, when Home version 1.86 goes live.

The Trophy integration will be worldwide, and applied retroactively. Details on what ones will be available will be announced tomorrow.

First launched in 2008, this is the only update PS Home has received in some time. We still don't know quite what's planned for it in the future, and there's been no announcement regarding whether or not it'll come to PS4.

I hope home comes to ps4 it was the reason i bought a ps3 to begin with and would be a shame if my bought gear will be wasted

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Release Date Delayed to 2015
"The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious."
by Luke Karmali MARCH 11, 2014
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been delayed until February 2015 so CD Projekt Red can make sure it reaches its full potential

In an open letter, the developer explained the team's ambition to make the game the crowning achievement of 11 years work creating RPGs meant it was not prepared to rush the game out the door.

"We have wanted The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to expand creative boundaries, set new benchmarks, develop the genre as a whole. Ultimately, you, the players, must get an unforgettable adventure to experience in a vast, open world – and that’s most important," it reads.

A few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us.

"We knew this to be an ambitious plan, but believed we could achieve it by bringing together our team with its creative energies and current gaming platforms with their technical capabilities. A project this vast and complex would inevitably require special care in its final stages, manual fine-tuning of many details, thorough testing time and again.

"We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015.

"Dear gamers - we know many of you would have liked to play The Witcher 3 sooner, as soon as possible, even. We’re sorry to make you wait longer than you, or we, initially assumed you would. At the same time, we believe the game will prove to be worth the wait and meet the expectations you have of us. We believe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be an exceptional RPG, one of the best, providing many hours of wonderful entertainment."

Seeing as the upcoming RPG will have over 100 hours of content along with and an all-star cast, it isn't surprising that CD Projekt Red is taking its time to make sure the game is all it can be.

While the wait just got longer, we've plenty of coverage to keep you busy, from how the developer is focusing on fostering a sense of mysticism rather than bombastic effects, to the latest details that convince us this is one title that's well worth the wait.

I had forgot about Witcher. 2015 is fine with me, plenty of other games coming out this year that should keep me occupied

What do people expect in regards to ps4 owner's feelings about Titanfall. Of course they're going to downplay it. There is zero reason to be hyped. It's not coming to PS4. EA/ Respawn thought everything would be all gravy with this exclusive deal thinking Xbone was going to be the leader at this point. They guessed way wrong.

Will that tune change if/when Titanfall 2 gets announced for PS4? Most likely. Until then, expect indifference.
