The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

My ps4 doesn't release discs when I press the disc release button.

And one else have that problem? I have to do it through the system menus.

It irks me because I want everything to work properly

Metal Gear, Metal Gear, Metal Gear!

I'm sure Metal Gear looks better than Second Son.
Definitely not. I'm liking what I see in Ground Zeroes but you can see that it's a cross gen game where in Second Son it's clear that is a PS4 title not possible on last gen.

Last eye candy that was uploaded before Sony stepped in. It's a shame you can't view images in their native resolution on NT, or can you?

MGS GZ only has two cut scenes and is the prologue to TPP. GZ has one main mission and about four or five side missions

i didnt even realize that keifer sutherland is used in the game until i started the game again at the part where that skullface dude takes the captured kid to the chopper

Oh right. Because titanfall is the only exclusive you right.
but how many great xbox titles has there been that weren't on Microsoft Windows for Games? vs how many ps and Nintendo titles that made it to the pc?

Better yet what xbox system game that was so great that i would turn down d/l it for free from the pirates at bay... for a pc go out buy a system and buying the game...

Ill wait
I'd answer this but I don't eem know what you said b

Infamous will probably make me purchase a ps4.

I was telling my co-worker this after watching that video where one of the developers (I think) was playing the game and making it look so sick. I think I'll wait for KH3 though.

PS3 was always the lead. It was the version that was the furthest along. A lot of PS3 versions of games were cancelled that Microsoft never paid for. Back then it seemed a lot harder for developers to get parity on these different architectures. Which probably accounted for a lot of those 360 exclusives from 3rd party publishers.

Katamari on 360 was cancelled for PS3. Same with Saints Row. I don't think Microsoft paid for those. I can't find anything about Sony buying Haze. I never said Sony got gifted. Free Radical (or Ubisoft) probably just wanted to get a version of the game out and get a return on their investment, but after it flopped, it wasn't worth it to port it. Why wouldn't Jack just say Haze would only be on PS3 for it's lifetime? When you say "first," it implies that it's planned for other platforms in the future. Something has to come after, for something to be first.

-You know after Free Radical closed and Crytek about them they openly said that the PS3's architecture is what in the game, and as a result, the entire company.. So the you want people to believe that the PS3, which was by far the hardest to code for, was further ahead. :rolleyes

-And It makes no sense to claim the PS3 was further along for, then claim other studios cancelled PS3 games (not true btw, many instances a PS3 version was never in development), but claim the one studio and pub decide to pull this move for free.

You do know that when you do a timed exclusivity deal like that, you are explicitly warned buy the other console maker than when the port comes around, they won't co-promote the game with you. That how they keep companies honest. And your entire "had a great relationship" "probably was lead on PS3" theory breaks down if you look at the UT3 situation

The 360 gaming portfolio was far, faaaaaaaaar better than the PS3 in 2007. Even if you give all those game that were 360 only because the 360 version got cancelled or never was in development. The 360 still whoops the PS3 2007. And that was with Alan Wake, Splinter Cell, Too Human and Wolfenstein missing the year

Not to beat a dead horse but I feel like Ground Zeroes should be 15 dollars. I see no difference in value between this and a great game like Journey.

Last one. I couldn't resist.

This game...

I never said any deals were made or "probably lead". Free Radical lead with the PS3. PS3 versions of games were getting cancelled. And you're comparing year 2 titles to launch window and first year titles on the PS3. And even then, "far faaaaaar better" is subjective and a bit of an exaggeration.

When Haze came out, it was never touted as a lifetime exclusive. It was always 360 and PC later. Once it started reviewing poorly, fanboys associated it with the PS3, because it was better to keep painting their negative perception with. There's no way that releasing the game later on other platforms would of been a good decision. No one would of bought it if it came out for all the planned platforms after everything that happened. It would've been a bad business decision on Ubi's part to put anymore money into trying to sell that game.

I wanna get I:SS but I've never touched a Infamous game. Story wise will I be lost if I skip the first 2 before playing? Cuz I sold my PS3 already :-\
Also, reading thru a few posts, looks like I'm the minority in looking forward to Tues for MG!

Just search infamous 1/2 story on youtube. The devs have said that newcomers will not be lost.

Fuuuark..

Son son is looking amazing. I might have to buy a ps4 again sooner than I planned. Wonder if they'll do a bundle :nerd:

Don't get me wrong part 1 and 2 did go hand and hand. But with them introducing a new character it might be more about the new guy.

The DLC is supposed to bring everything together though right?

Yeah Infamous looking good. It will be a long time before I play it and The Show though.

Excited to get back into baseball. I just hope that it is playable online :smh:
