The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I think they are both needed.

Games like COD,BF, and of course Titanfall don't need a SP because you are going to log your hours in online.

And SP games can be an hell of an experience. I'm playing TLOU right now and damn this is a great game. It's like a ******* movie.

Both are needed but they don't have to go hand and hand IMO

you can't compile the Al Bhed primers over multiple playthroughs like in the OG FFX?!
Im sure you can but if you miss one then you must do an additional playthrough. It is possible to get the platnium in this game with just one playthrough since you can backtrack and return to areas you may have missed etc. Thanks for spellchecking me to, I knew Al Baid was wrong as hell

lol no problem. FFX is one of my favorite games. I wish I could upload my old save file from PS2...

Standard for me. I dont need any art books or anything.
Limited Edition is nice in that the artbook is the case. Same with the Kingdom hearts LE.

I think the days of big CE's are over for me until I move into somewhere bigger but these two are really well done.

Just ordered the FF X/X-2 walkthrough off amazon. Really want both Plats and I hear they are not easy, so I want any advantage I can get.

X is pretty much muscle memory, I beat it 3 times. But I never actually finished X-2.

So I'll probably just get through a couple seasons of blitzball while I wait. :smokin

I heard 300 hours for both plats :x

Or the order and single player only :nerd:

MP or SP doesn't matter, it's all about the content. I've passed over a hundred hours with many JRPG'S which are single player only.

True. I think some people just like the option of MP and SP tho. I dont think Uncharted/TLOU NEEDED MP but it was a nice option (TLOU MP was pretty good surprisingly) same can be said about CoD/TF/BF, you don't NEED SP but its nice to have it

Honestly X-2 isn't even worth it if you're not going for 100% completion to get the "good ending"

Make sure you use a GameFAQs guide.

The first time I played through I literally did everything right except pushing x during a black screen with an audio cue (I actually thought I had done this correctly).

Nearly broke my disc in half when I got to the end and couldn't hit 100%

Yea, the last 2 CE/LE (legendary) I bought were the GTA IV with the Safety Deposit Lock box and Halo 3 Spartan Helmet.

I will go up to the LE (limited) from time to time to grab a free digital download every once in a while, but I just can't bring myself to dropping $100+ on the game alone anymore.

Insert MAG

Too bad Resistance never panned out like they thought as well...

What was wrong with MAG? Never played myself. I always figured the online must have been trash.

Naw, that'd have been shrapnel in my wall had that happened to me.

Ill give it a go, but if I dont get it, not a huge deal. X I think should be attainable.

Yea I thought that Resistance was a pretty good SP play through, but the MP just never caught on like they thought it would.

MAG was a MP only game that allowed 256 player games (8 squads per team I believe). Again, it just didn't pan out they had hoped it would.

Aztez blows up on PlayStation 4, PS Vita soon!
“Brutal, bloody, expressive, difficult, and replayable?!” is probably what you’re thinking as your eyes widen in the dim glow of my audacity. But I sincerely believe that we are cooking up something you will like!

At its core, Aztez is two games. One of those games is a full on real-time beat ‘em up combat experience. We’ve piped in the feel and creativity of Bayonetta, the sensationalism and mobility of Capcom’s Alien Vs Predator, and the precision difficulty of classic Devil May Cry.

The other game that comprises Aztez is an empire management strategy game, and that’s where the aforementioned replayability comes from. We decided early on that we didn’t want to make another beat ‘em up that forces you through a linear narrative and rote platforming segments, so we’ve created what we feel is an infinitely more interesting vehicle for thrilling combat; a randomised, historical Risk-like. Haha!

There's been a few indie games announced at the blog but this one caught my eye. It looks fun and supposedly has a deep combat system too.
Reminds me of the stick men gifs from back in the day. Hopefully it's cross buy and cross play.
