The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

They've been removing physical manuals out of games for a little while now. A few of the PS3 games I've got over the past couple years have had digital manuals. None of the PS4 games I have came with physical manuals. Only DLC codes, PS+ vouchers, etc.

damn not that I think of it youre right

does the show normally not come with a manual or is mine missing?

This honestly hurts me a little

As a kid (for me at least) one of the coolest parts of getting a new game was the car ride home taking the plastic wrap off, opening up the case and reading the manual and all the story/character details/game options

No more :smh:

No manuals and DLC really make me hate game companies

And this :smh:

I used to always take a game manual or two to school with me in elementary/middle school to read when I finished my work early or some ****, mad hyped to play the game that weekend and encounter some of the characters I haven't yet.

im saying you pay that much for the game and the console and you cant get something as simple as a manual :smh:.... not everyone is game savy and want to learn the controls instead of just pressing buttons

The manual is digital though. It's not like the directions aren't there.

But I totally agree w/ what ya'll are saying, buying that special edition ffx hd remake made me miss a nice booklet/insert

I know I'm late but besides the length Ground Zeroes is the best game I've played so far on my PS4. Nothing even comes close so far.

TLOU Remastered is going to be amazing. It's crazy that they're using the PS3 cutscene character models as the native PS4 in game models. It'll probably be the best looking PS4 title for a while

Still need to pick this up

R.I.P. to physical manuals. |I

They were sometimes good for the art inside them or the note/memo sections in the back where you could write down codes too. Not that games really use codes like that anymore.

I never read manuals to be honest. Most games have in game tutorials. The only thing I liked was the weight it gave to the game case so it felt like you were getting your money's worth. Vita games without manuals are the worst
The cases are practically weightless.

Man, if you can get a couple buddies together, Warframe is a hell of alot of fun.

I remember posting about the game so much and I sitll haven't played it  :smh:

NES, Snes and genesis games were great

I hate music in racing games. All I want to hear is the engine, (real) tires screeching, turbo spooling and blow-off valve purring, the loud *** exhaust and the upshift / downshift of the transmission. I've yet to play a game that can mimic all that.

There's nothing like a nice driving soundtrack.

Chamillionaire - Riding Dirty
Trick Daddy - Boy
Ludacris - Act A Fool
Big Tymers - Get Your Roll On, Number 1 Stunna

Are some of my favorites.

When that Drake comes on and you're on a straight away.

My 2 Rick Ross songs were "pledge of allegiance to the swag" and "9 piece" with TI.
