The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I hope that no other game company releases a demo on retail.
What a joke.
It 's like they released dlc before the game was finished.

There's 7 missions. Why even comment if you didn't play the game?
You know damn well what I'm implying

Did you even play the game man? It's clearly more than a demo and every publication and player agrees. 7 missions, over 5 hours of voice acting. To each their own though. I'm still having a blast with the game. Were people up in arms when Gran Turismo did the same thing?

I don't though. The missions are completely different. Different objectives, different amount of guards, different movement and placement, different weapons, new dialogue, new story to discover.

It's short, bro. Too short.

No respectable developer should release a 5-hour prologue as a standalone retail title, even if it is at a reduced price.

I'll get it and enjoy it when it inevitably comes packaged with The Phantom Pain

I'm a huge MGS fan, but the experience of GZ felt like an extended demo.

Sure, demos don't have Side Ops. But as fun as they are, they still feel like bonuses, just ways of squeezing out more content.

It might just be me, but GZ is almost making the wait for The Phantom Pain feel longer in some ways.

I agree, it is short but it's still an excellent game. The fun comes from actually playing around in the world and beating it in new ways. I felt completely satisfied and still do because I still play it.

I think Kojima said that it isn't coming packaged in with The Phantom Pain and if it is whoever bought GZ will be compensated by getting it for cheaper or whatever they choose to do. You're urged to register the game at Konami and I know it's for that purpose.

@offwhitewhite
Not yet, since they're asking $30($40 before) for 1 1/2 hrs of required gameplay(according to hltb.com stats).
Gz is a glimpse of what's to come in PP. That fits the definition of a demo. I've never played GT, but I thought that prolgue stuff was lame. Same goes for tekken, when they released that tt2 demo.
At least there was an actual game on the disc.

That's the thing, I got over 20 hours of game play so far. I can beat the main mission in 10 minutes at this point. You can't go required time because the Metal Gear games are usually 5-7 hours long. They're meant to be replayed.

You're fears will be put to ease though, Kojima confirmed TPP is 200 times bigger than GZ.
