The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Anything above 60 hz = input lag for gaming.

Ive been hearing this too but I cant find a definitive answer. Ive seen people say their 60Hz sets had input lag, while some people with larger Toshiba and Samsung 120Hz sets swear they have zero input lag.

With the new systems I anticipate lag issues being resolved if there are any. I wouldn't want to settle for a 60 now knowing they won't be the standard in a few years.

. This. I have a 55 inch 120 Hz Panasonic Viera LED, input lag is noticeable and affects gameplay even after setting the TV picture to "game mode", all button presses come out a full second late, very unresponsive. Plasma a are better for gaming than LEDs are, LEDs are better suited for movies and blu rays.

I believe most 120hz tv's allow you to turn to 60hz in the options.

And yeah, I do hope the next gen consoles resolve tv lag issues... I hope Sony comes out with an official PS4 monitor/TV. I have the 3D PS3 TV but the screen is a bit small, not sure if it'll be compatible with the PS4 either.

The November 13th date sounds like the one that makes the most sense.. Two weeks before the XBone and before the crazy black Friday crowds.

I would have liked the October 29th date better

I've always found 26-32in was the best for fps games personally.. every other game bigger is better

32 in. Is ideal for me, I can't do 40. My own fault I sit to close, I play like trash when I sit or lay back too far LOL

Are there any image comparisons of a game on a 1080p tv VS 4K tv?

Would like to see the difference.

This is the only one I could find. There are a few videos on YouTube. I'm on my tablet so I can't embed.

same 32 was perfect for me when I was only playing cod.. Now that I play other games I've moved to a 40 and it is what I need.. it's just big enough without being too big.

And like you I sit close too.. I pull up my chair up to the TV and lean in forward towards it with my elbows on my knees
