The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

In a nutshell "Wait a minute. So a catalog of 4 games, discounts to others/dlc, AND early access to new releases, along with the promise of more games getting added to the catalog, ALL for 30 usd a year, is not a good deal, BUT paying 15 usd to rent ONE game for 90 days is? Please Sony, don't do anymore thinking on my behalf Sincerely- A gamer."

It's not a good deal when you feel like it's competing with what you are trying to accomplish with your own console...

The problem is with devs and publishers not doing it for the gamers but for profit and greed. If Sony got their way I honestly believe it would've been better than what we are getting

[thread="526537"]I think saying no to EA Access was smart, allowing game publishers to sell these subscriptions seems like a downward spiral to me. Imagine having to pay each publisher a subscription for access to their games. [/thread]
I'd prefer that to be honest. I know that I'm not going to pay for 20 AAA games a year. So me paying ubisoft, ea and activision $7 a month( not all at the same time) to play last years asscreed or battlefield or mirrors edge appeals to me more. That way I can buy the games that I really want at retail but still experience other stuff

Both are in beta stages. We'll see how much they charge when they come out of beta stages. I guarantee PS Now > EA Access.

Its been a year since ive played tlou but I see very little difference in the remastered version.

Like, in GTA V... you can see a major difference in upgrades from ps3 to ps4.

IDK but its all good... tlou will be beat again this time on grounded mode. I love the story... I guess the graphics were already just too good to improve on.

What yall opinions?

Beta or not I don't like these proposed subscription based gaming services.

It's a bad message to send to companies that we're willing to pay to play games we don't actually own.

I don't want PSNow. I want true backwards compatibility. I can get MGS4 for cheap.

Why would I pay to play it for a far smaller window of time than if I actually owned the game?

You ain't got to be an accountant to figure that one out. Next thing you know we'll be paying for demos

Who would want to pay $30 a month to play EA games? They only have like 2 games that are half way decent

I dont really know much or understand this subscription stuff you guys are talking about.

I just want to play nba 2k14 and some fps like destiny or COD when i get my ps4

All this other stuff going on sounds complicated lol

All of this. No matter how they alter it to make it more appealing, I don't see myself indulging very often for this reason.

TLoU keeps crashing on me

Game data might be corrupt. Make sure you have your save, delete the game data, and re-install. Tends to work for me when I have a game that isnt known to crash start crashing.

@empire, any tips on keeping at least one survivor in your faction? I halfway through week 3 and just lost 20 survivors . I don't want to hit week 12 and lose them all :frown:

Yea its actually pretty easy. You can only ever lose all your survivors if you fail one of those challenges later on in the levels. Some make you lose 40%, 60%, ect. But as you get close to level 12, you get a few 100% survivor death if you fail.

Just save the challenge options you KNOW you can do. Like get 3/5 kills with your rifle or get 3/5 kills with a sidearm. Then use your boosters each map with that specific weapon.

The only way you can fail is if you have 3 epicly terrible matches, or you have terrible luck getting thrown in matches that are almost over.

If you have a challenge where its only worth like 20-40%, try doing a challenege you wouldnt normally do... its not the end of the world if you lose that many.

KIlling challenges are always the easiest. Dont do revives. I almost lost all my survivors trying to do that one simply because we dominated a team 3 games in a row. I convinced a guy on my squad to die twice so I could revive him.

Last resort, dashboarding during the third day wont have it count against you... at least it didnt on PS3.

You'll need to save 4-5 easy ones I think... maybe less. I think I got hit with 5 100% risk my second time through
