BY CASSIDEE MOSERUbisoft revealed that Assassin's Creed Unity will utilize microtransactions to help speed up gameplay.
It's unclear at this time exactly how the system will work, but early reports claim that gear can be unlocked in exchange for money, allowing players to obtain items faster than they would through regular play.
Senior Producer Vincent Pontibrand discussed the decision to include microtransactions while speaking with OXM at Gamescom, explaining that the team was careful about implementation. "If we think it fits the gameplay, or the brand itself, the core values, we're willing to take those risks. If not, then not. We're not going to make any compromises."
Pontibrand also mentioned that this was "pretty much" the extent of the in-game purchase options, reassuring players that they won't be in the game if they don't suit the overall experience.
Ubisoft has confirmed with IGN that there will be more information about the microtransactions system at a later date.
Assassin's Creed Unity is a third-person action game featuring four-player cooperative play, taking place during the French Revolution. It will release on the Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 on October 28.

If I didn't get a PS4 at launch I would of pre-ordered that Destiny bundle. That thing looks so beautiful.

The most horrifying thing about the early RE games were teh controls
At that point, I was so used to using the N64 joystick. I just remember a monster popping out and me doing thee most uncomfortable two step to turn around. Hated it lol

Man...this was my most hyped up game of the year, I put countless hours in the beta and this is how they're going to treat the fans. To my knowledge, each expansion is just one big mission. I hope I'm wrong though and the content winds up being worth the price.

thats what did it for me with the series. i was cool with the direction RE5 took but jesus having Chris giving boulders hooks and a fight randomly inside a volcano

So glad to hear this. Even though last gen I was a 360 guy, only because of the better online service, I was always a Sony fan. People tend to forget the PS3 generation is the only generation Sony had a competitor. During the PS1 and PS2 generations they slaughtered the competition and the PS4 generation looks to more of the same. They just have too much momentum and too many games coming out from every developer imaginable. Gamescon isn't even that big a trade show and the unveiled about 10 brand new games with another high profile first party game being unveiled at TGS.SonyPR SpeechVictory Speech

A better question where is there a Xbox exclusive game on this list. Until Halo, Gears of War, and Forza come out they won't have one. Oh and I guess Tomb Raider now.

Just like PS4, Xbox has plenty of great exclusives coming out in the MCC, Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive, Tomb Raider etc. Also, Xbox gets a monthly update every month that enhances it's functionality while the PS4 has relatively remained static. To some, these updates are amazing and some don't care for it, which I understand. But to claim one console is so much superior over the other is just ridiculous. They are very similar. Sony just has won the PR war from the beginning so they are riding this sales momentum.
