The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I really think Naugthy Dog's next IP should be a Jurassic Park/Dino Crisis type thingy.
Man, Naughty Dog was one of my favorite developers during the PS1/PS2 era, and I still love them, but they're all about Hollywood blockbusters from now on ; I'm not expecting anything fun and creative from them anymore. Enjoy your cinematic, middle aged white guy adventures from here on out.

Man I can say with certainty that Chrono Trigger is by far the best game I've ever played as a kid...I was in love with everything about it, the game was DEEP and drew you in emotionally, in beyond bummed they never released a sequel :frown:

If they make a dinosaur game I don't care who the main character is. It's not like middle age white characters aren't a majority of game characters anyway. Dont see why you would hold that against ND.

I don't get why Hironobu Sakaguchi is crying 20 years later. There already was a sequel to Chrono Trigger called Chrono Cross and it was another classic.
Eh.... it's not really a sequel. Similarly to FF, it shares themes, battle systems, ect with it's predecessor, but not really a true sequel. And even though it is a GREAT game, it was not Sakaguchi's game.

ND releasing free maps for the MP issues it's had.

Happy Friday! We’re pushing a patch today (view full notes here) that addresses many of the matchmaking issues taking place in Factions mode for The Last of Us Remastered. You should see improved matchmaking all around. It will be rolling out over the next twenty-four hours globally. Look for the update when you turn on your system today.

With that patch, as promised, we’re giving away two, brand new multiplayer maps for FREE. The first map is the Beach, an excellent map for long-range experts. The second map is Financial Plaza, which is ideal for both sniping and close quarters combat. The maps will be free for both PS4 and PS3 players. Check out these maps in our latest trailer:

Once we’ve deployed the maps, upon signing into Factions multiplayer, the store will pop up and you’ll be asked to download them for free. Here are the screens you should see.

If you’re super excited and want to see how quickly you can get back to playing Factions, the Maps for PS4 are roughly 291 MB, and the patch is about 137 MB. For PS3, patch 1.09 will be approximately 170 MB and the same maps are about 143 MB.

Also newly available is our Scoped Weapons Bundle  which can be purchased on PlayStation Store for $2.99 right now. The four new weapons in the bundle are sold individually for $0.99 if you’re more selective about your guns. All weapons are available for The Last of Us on BOTH PS3  and PS4.

I didn't see any Rap music on that FH2 OST. It looks like I'll be muting the TV with Pandora playing from my laptop

If Sony could just get Sakaguchi and Nobou to make a turn based JRPG then I'd be one happy gamer. I'm more excited for a game from Mistwalker then I am for any SE game. I thought Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were both better than the entire FF 13 trilogy.

It's no surprise the gaming industry doesn't cater to Black people.

If you're an open minded music listener, you'll find some tracks that you like.

I think the classical music station would be the most all encompassing music genre.

I don't think it's possible to dislike classical music.

Check out these songs coming to FH2.

Well then, FH 2 will have to settle for largest soundtrack of the year.

Did you sample the tracks?

Also to give more context, I love HM's ost.

Couldn't beat the first level though.

Edit: That reminds me of an artist who has video game sounding music, that sounds just like Scott Pilgrim

At the generic trash being compared to Hotline Miami's soundtrack. No more Corporate Shilling plz.
I love reading about X1 hardware sales

I post hardware sales from all the Consoles and will continue to do so every week.

The Last of Us rift in Diablo 3. This is pretty damn cool.

Updated music selections coming to GTA V for next-gen/ PC.
Grand Theft Auto V  already featured an intimidatingly awesome selection of music and radio stations when it released on Xbox 360 and PS3 last year, but new information from one of the radio station hosts seems to indicate that the new current-gen versions of the game will feature some expanded audio and maybe new music selections.

Cara Delevingne, the host of the Non Stop Pop FM radio station in Grand Theft Auto V, sent out a tweet (alongside an Instagram photo) that confirmed her returning to Rockstar’s studio to record new audio for the upcoming remastered editions of Grand Theft Auto V  coming to current-gen consoles and PC.

Though no other details are given by Delevigne (other than her amusing Instagram photo in  GTAV  jacket), it seems like fans of the game can expect some new audio (and maybe new music) to appear in the updated versions.

Grand Theft Auto V  is currently available on Xbox 360 and PS3, with the remastered version coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later in 2014.
Screenshots from REmake HD. I'll be picking this up, haven't replayed REmake in a long time. Definitely in the top 5 as far as horror games are concerned. That atmosphere in unmatched.

I really think Naughty Dog's next IP should be a Jurassic Park/Dino Crisis type thingy.
Not Naughty Dog, but there's a Dinosaur Hunting game in Early Access on PC called "The Stomping Land", that's extremely innovative. It's a hunting/survival multiplayer game. I'm gonna wait for the full release before I buy because I hate playing games that are on Early Access with the notable exception.

It will probably get ported to Consoles at some point.

Really does look amazing.
