The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Yea, bids are going for 3-4 times what I have. Rather than a highest bid system, if they did a prizes for specific amounts (a free game for 1000 trophies or something) that would be cool.

There is a way to pick out some cheaters... PSN Profiles has an algorithm that is constantly kicking people out of their list.

I think PSN profiles checks how many trophies you unlock at the same time. CFW cheat gives you the option to unlock all the trophy's at once or with different time stamps.
The same can be done with the xbox

Got a email from amazon for my lunch system still has the dec 31 place holder date

No emails for my bundles from them yet

I don't need to have one by or close to launch-date, but it'd be nice... I guess the good thing for me is that there aren't any launch titles that "I must have right away, this instant!!!"

At least I'll hopefully have my GT6 to keep me busy until they're able to handle the demand.  Oh well.

How is putting discs in a gaming console with a disc loading drive an example of being a caveman?

You're wasting hd space, which is obviously the drawback of disc free gaming.

I'd rather save my hd space than the HOURS oh sorry seconds that it takes me to open my cd case to insert the disc into my console.

Also your example only applies to people who get their games day one, which I for the most part don't.
just watch, if the ps4 lets people jump from multiplayer to multiplayer across different games (or even single player to single player or single player to multiplayer) without having to go through a bunch of crappy menus like we do today, putting in a disc is going to be a chore

no big deal if you like chores
Supposedly with the next gen consoles loading up games is fast as hell.

Unless you store your discs in a bomb shelter, I don't see how putting in discs is a chore.

Thinking about trading in my 360 for a vita? What yall think?

If you're planning on getting a PS4 then go for it.
Reason being that most of 360's games are multiplatform sso they'll come out on PS3 or PS4 and Vita has remote play with the PS4 on top of it's own library.

you dont seem to get it, the whole disc changing being hard work is just a joke

if ps4 lets me fly from gameplay to gameplay digitally without going through a bunch of crappy game menus, you wont be able to do that when you have to get up and change discs

stop thinking of how it works on ps3

Both your reasons are legitimate

iYen not wanting to use HD space for games cause eventually if you buy enough games it's gonna fill up.. not sure if you can install games onto external HDs. If you can't do you have to delete games just to create space to download and install a new one? Also if you're someone who like's to trade in old games you can't do that with a digital copy.

And HInspector wanting to switch from game to game easily.

I'm leaning towards disc personally but can see why you'd want to go all digital
