Rudolf Heinrich Baer:
It is with both sadness and hope that i write my own send off to one rudolph baer who passed on on the 16th day of the 12th month of the previous year. Sadness is present because no one is deserving of missed time with their loved ones, to havr their bodies dissipate into the earth, almost as if it were never there. Hope in that at least his legacy of inquiry and resourcefulness might carry on to future generations
What this one inquisitive individual accomplished was single-handedly inventing video games and its now burgeoning industry. He did it deep within the bosom of the wholly inpsiring and idea-nurturing environment that is new england, that great incubator of ideas and intellect (it is true this region is home to both immense thought as well as thorough contemplation). It is a region with no intellectual rival (save for possibly africa). Perhaps it is the perfect storm of broad powerful oaks combined w. the scent of nearby ocean salt; of big city dreams and small town rusticity; of humid near-tropical summers and Bone-chilling frozen winters - intermediated only by the most resplendant and world-renown autumns; of the high hills of winchester and the lowest domains of the back bay, we are here to stay. But, this is truly about one man come from many so i cannot complain should he shout out naismiths parents from canada or the second to last emperor of all of africa (and thus all of humanity). This man (as us all) owed as much to others as he himself.
I know he is out there not wishing on the cheat codes. On the abacabb. On the down right up down up down. On the game shark. On stars to power up or mushrooms to level up. He was not dependant on stimpacks or glitches or mods or hacks or walkthroughs, and for all of that we should be eternally thankful (because, neither are we)
Heres to u hopin u found ur extra life bro!!!!
In thus respects i ask we all bow kindly and in silence to his true devotion to entertainment and more impprrantly, thought.
