The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

As an IT professional for many years, that convo was hilarious, childish, and sad. I'm glad he deaded the convo with you like he did and didn't give you anything. You came out the gate asking for a hand out.

You said you didn't ask for the servers to come up, just compensation.... So you don't even care that they are down and can't play. You just trying to get free stuff, lol.

Help desk/customer support probably knows as much as you do with this situation. That's why they just answer phones.

They will probably give us a couple free days or a free download or something, but in the meantime, either play the story on a physical copy you own, or.... It is the day after Christmas, go chill with friends/family, hang with your girl that got you the system, or watch something online with that upgraded Internet you got

Edit:
Read your follow up.... You know damn well him logging in your system isn't going to get you on psn right now
Just another tactic to get them "troubleshooting" and "exhausting all measures" in hopes of getting something from them for free or free PS+

How does Gamer club for Best Buy Work? Could I share with my cousin or do they require some kind of identification?

Considering ps+ is a paid subscription and many games require online connection to even play... it's absurd that Sony wouldn't have better security for their servers.

If you don't have the infrastructure necessary to run a gaming system server that's predicated on online capabilities, then don't sell the system. As consumers we have all the power considering these businesses want our money.

Me personally, I'd just like a free year of ps+...

It makes sense but problems like these are out of some companies control when it happens which is a con for consumers when everything is being pushed for more digital only products like movies and games so when servers crash or cyber attacks happen both sides are screwed over. That's why im not into the digital only stuff that and I like having the stacks of game cases in the house

Regardless of if you have digital or physical games, the games are handicapped by these issues. You know what all these system shutdowns are really showing us? That the games being created are getting worse. Most of the fun people experience playing games in this gen is based on people playing online with friends. A game like Destiny or GTA V is most fun when playing alongside others. What happened to the days of solo games?

I was just talking about this a couple weeks ago with my bro. It seems like the next logical step in the console evolution is to just slide it inside of a TV

@3sTheLuckyNumbe

I don't think games are getting worse. When games were solo/ co-op only I don't know about you but some of the most fun I ever had was with friends. The only difference is now they don't have to be right there next to you. I would actually say games are getting a lot better in terms of story telling and the way that solo play has become damn near a blending of game and movie with some studios

why you so mad, tho?

you gotta be a child.

it's sony's job to ensure the product i bought works.

let me put it like this.

i called my internet company to upgrade my internet.

i told them, for what i am paying, i should have faster internet.

they gave me a 2 tier upgrade and 200 premium channels....for 30 dollars less a month.

why did they do that? cause im entitled and whiny?

no, because i was overpaying and unhappy.

this thread is being derailed by my fans gushing....so i'll end this here.
done.

*actually, let me rephrase for clarity....

i did this the second after my account was created.
i must be a child? lol and im definitely not mad at all. im having a wonderful day at work with you as entertainment. you really are an entitled prick so who cares. you got the 200 channels for 30 less because thats the deal theyre authorized to give when they think theyre bout to lose a customer. its basic sales/customer service. youre not special lol. they give 2 bowel movements about you being unhappy. you are a number with $$$ attached so its business-smart to keep you on board. nothing more, nothing less.

and you have about as many fans as lil mama bruh.  and this is the PS thread. its right on track.
Compensation?

Idk about the quality of games getting worse since I'm pretty picky when it comes to the games I buy but I get what you are saying. Personnally playing online with friends on online games will be better than single player story games but there are some great single player games that are still amazing to play.

I played SSB online with my bro yesterday.

Nintendo's online was the only one not affected.

They didn't think nintendo's network was worth an attack.

Lucky Nintendo.

Not a single damn given.

I imagine I'm late to the anniversary party but wow this looks nice, can anybody help me out with details?

I didn't even know PSN was down until CNN ran a segment on it. They also said Xbox live was down so it wasn't just a sony problem, and from the looks of these responses the hackers accomplished their mission of pissing off people on Christmas.

It's not a simple matter of security. It's a DDOS. Yes there are measures that can be taken to reduce the effectiveness of the attacks but in the end if someone wants to DDOS you they will. It's not Sony's fault.
