SmartTV apps in my personal experience have been

.  Using chromecast is so much easier and you can browse while watching.  I can jump stream netflix in my room with one chromecast then when i'm ready to go downstairs just change the cast to the living room chromecast and continue.

I'm sure they're better now (Smart TV apps), but its just wonky using a TV remote to navigate apps and for typing (even with the remote with a keyboard).

I haven't used hulu/Netflix/prime on my PS3 or PS4 since I've gotten a smart tv. It's just so much more convenient to press a button on my tv control and launch the app than to have to turn on the ps4 and navivigate the menus.

I haven't had any issues with the apps so far, granted I only use a few of them. I bought a chromecast awhile back for my son's room but it gave me so many problems. Ended up returning it and just buying a second Apple tv for him instead

FBI Currently Investigating Lizard Squad Over PSN and Xbox Live Outages
FBI.jpg

It has been confirmed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has begun investigating Lizard Squad, the hacker group that took down PlayStation Network and Xbox Live during Christmas. Although no details have been given, a spokesperson for the FBI told GamesBeat that “the FBI is investigating the matter.”

DDoS attacks, like the ones used to take down the gaming networks, are considered illegal if they cause enough harm. Considering that the downed networks might have left Sony and Microsoft unable to sell digital games and thus probably caused a significant amount of damage, it is likely that Lizard Squad’s hacking would qualify as a criminal case.

Hopefully, the FBI will quickly find and apprehend those responsible for the attacks, though we will just have to wait and see. What do you think about the investigation?

What do you think of the January 2015 list of free games?

I went to Best Buy to exchange my PS for the 1 game free PS combo, they said they were sold out and to order online. I didn't want to do that being it was on a BB CC and have the charges reversed to be put on again, BB CC service kinda sucks. The manager just zero'ed out the game I wanted (Far Cry 4). Granted they never pulled up a receipt or anything so there is no record I even got a game but for karma sake I won't take advantage of the system, dude didn't have to do that for me, this was like the smoothest retail experience I ever had ever.

In other news I fired up my PS, recovered my gt from like 2011 on PS3 lol. I'm hyped see the old games in the store, $2-3 bucks I thought I was gonna have a memory lane overload, click on a game 4 hour rental? That is so dumb, why not just sell the games? Well I am jumping back into TLOU prob tomorrow while hungover.

My GT is Shottanyc718 hit me up NT, I only have TLOU and Far Cry for now.

What is the free game to DL this month btw, my boys always tell me the free PS games craps on MS Games with Gold.

Everyone have a blessed New Year!

I copped evil within during christmas haven't opened it yet is it worth playing ? And what should I exhange it for? I have tlou, gta, cod aw already

As far as media centers go, dedicated boxes like roku/amazon fire/chromecast are better than smart tvs, which are all far better than consoles. Consoles are loud, energy eating, laggy monsters.

bro, lmao

i went to your twitter, saw a picture of you.....

and im the one "garden-tooling" up the place?

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

report that.

also, who in the world would go "hey, i was planning on buying this playstation 4, but i have one last question, and it's a dealbreaker......can i download HBO go?"

can't nobody be salty ps4 cant download HBO go

you say so.

luckily i still have an xbox 360 with HBOGO right there.....

**** just got creepy, take a break.

Also when you pay for HBO, you wan't your singular media center to include the ability to play it and all your other media apps, one spot for everything regardless of how often you use it. There are actually a lot of people who don't purchase the PS3/PS4 or Amazon fire tv as a media center on that fact. And they probably shouldn't, there are better options.

The game is creepy not scary

Storyline is ok nothing special

The game itself is pretty hard

i bought it to play games on, and that's it.

Yeah back in the days of PS3 when it was probably the most advanced retail media center i'd be upset, but there are too many other sensible options that can be had for under 50 bucks to be upset at that piece.
