The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Been a minute since i been in here... most likely late, but did ya'll see that Nyko data bank thing all ready ?

Any PS + deals? Not trying to spend $50

Lower than cdkeys lol
I doubt it. I just got me a 3 month sub, in hopes that a 1 year sub will go on sale before it runs out. A lot of people passed up the $35-$40 deals because we all assumed they would be $30 on BF like in previous years

The Swapper is ******* great! Couldn't put it it down last night.

Definitely check it out.

Yeah I agree but knowing that I've paid $30 in the past for it makes it hard to pay $50

Free games do make up for it tho. I think that Sony gave away $1300 free games last year to PS+ subscribers. It really benefits if you have all three PS systems (PS4, PS3, PSV)

I just finish watching some more gameplay from Bloodborne. I can't wait for this to drop. I was never really too into the Souls series but Bloodborne looks way better imo. Almost reminds me of Castlevania for some reason

It's worth it for $50 or a lil less tho the free games are def better than GWG
Games with Gold is very trash. Only thing I've ever "come-up" on with that is Titanfall (which I clearly still had to pay for)
Only GWG i really played was Guacamelle with my girl. Other than that I dl them and never touch them...Thing is im just busy with Destiny for the most part tho, nothing grabbed my interest really. But I can grab that Infamous this month and hopefully my homey ordered my Infamous 2 (he has Prime). I have a nice lil backlog on PS, I'm watching Bloodborne also Im almost def imma cop that.

TOO MANY GAMES

I need to give Infamous 2 a try. I didn't like the first one really. I played the First Light DLC last night for about an hour or so and it seems ok. I'm really going to try and knock out some of my backlog this month. Nothing else is really on my radar until the The Order drops next month. Then March will have FF Type-0 HD, Bloodborne and I might pick up BF: Hardline a couple weeks after it drops pending reviews.

TLOU has been $19.99 on gamedealdaily.com for months now, and you get the email code within minutes. I thought everyone knew this.

Why do people keep mentioning it's hard for them to pay $50 or even $40 for PSN+ since they paid $30 last year? Correct me if I am wrong.. But with the release of PS4/X1 didn't these subscriptions increase $10? So $30 back then is in fact equivalent to $40 now, (which has happened during the holidays)

The black friday of launch (last year), it seems they were going for $30 everywhere. PS+ has always been $50 for a year. I'm just glad I copped 2 cards last year, so hopefully I can catch another deal next year.

I beat it right after beating 1 and its a little better in terms of not being as repetitive. The powers toward the end of the game do add a bit of excitement too imo. And playing it on the hardest difficulty isn't hard at all like in SS. Just change the difficulty to the hardest in start if you want the trophy tho. I forgot to do that in the start of the game and I was too far in already to start it over

People are straight cheap *****. $50 a year boils down to like less than a dollar per week to play video games online, get free games and discounts on some really quality games, and have cloud storage for your saves.

How is that not great value?

Its down half the year...

I basically play by myself on PS it's not about being cheap I'm not playing with friends like I do on Xbox. I've seen sales on it so I rather save some coins if I can. You talking like gaming is a cheap hobby, almost every game has a DLC now. All of this adds up, I know its def more for a PS person to move to plus being it's basically been free for yall for years.

Half the year is hyperbole. PSN has like 97% up time (not counting scheduled maintenance). No, it's not perfect and it could be better, but to be honest: the outages are rare.

And, yes, gaming is a cheap hobby. Second Son is $20 on Amazon right now. That's like 14 hours of entertainment for $20.

Dragon Age was $40 on flash sale...That's 100 hours of content for $40 bucks.

Go watch a movie and you pay $12-15 for 2 hours.

Gaming is easily one of the cheapest hobbies available.

The good thing about gaming is that you can wait on games to be discounted quickly too so it depends on how often you buy games and when you buy them that can make it expensive
