The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Hmmm. May have to check out 99Gamers. How is the pricing?
Most prices are reasonable. New games go for a markup. So a brand new newly released game has the informal price limit of 75 coins. Every 1 1/2-2 weeks the price deceases by 5-7 coins.

You can haggle, so most traders will try to get rid of their unwanted games.

Like NT, there's resellers who ask for 85-120 coins.

I saw forza horizon 2 on the 360 listed at 120 coins. lmao

Shipping a game costs about $2. Here's the shipping guide: https://99gamers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=1365

Who are the people who said Shadow of Mordor was one of the best games of 2014?

It's like Dynasty Warriors set in Middle Earth. It's not horrible but this is a game I'd only have a lot of fun with as a 10-13 year old. Nothing but mindless slaughtering of Orcs  Too damn repetitive for me these days though. These missions are taking a toll on my wrists with all the button mashing

You should be banned from playing video games.

iYen where you seeing the list. That reddit link doesn't really include anything.

Sounds like nothing big for ps4 right now tho.

Hey guys, I'm pleased to say that today after work I will be joining the Playstation 4 community! This will be my first time owning a system since the original Xbox, and I for one cannot be more excited. I played at my buddies recently (Battlefield 4) and was blown away by the enhancements from what I used to play. Also, NBA 2k15 was awesome.

Anyways, my budget is around $750.00, I have looked around and it appears the best deal is a bundle for $399.99 that includes one controller and one game.

Could anyone recommend other options for me? I would like to get a headset as I will be primarily playing in my bedroom at night before bed, I have looked into this headset - is it worth the price? Amazon product ASIN B00HVBPRUO
Also, I have asked around but gotten mixed reviews of the Playstation Plus Internet Card (I believe its 49.99 for one year?). I expect to primarily game online so I am leaning towards buying it.

In the past I enjoyed Halo, Call of Duty - and sports games such as Fifa, NHL, NBA2k, etc. I plan on picking up NBA 2k15 with the bundle I looked at - but they also offer DESTINY, which I know I've heard a lot of hype for.

I am going to get Battlefield 4 as well - I heard that can be bought cheap on the Playstation Live Network though.

So yeah, excited about tonight - I need something to curb my desire to go out and hit the bars 4-5 nights a week, and I believe this will do the trick. Thanks for any help beforehand, and I will hopefully see you guys on live soon!

Hey also meant to ask, I don't think I want to hook my credit card up to the Playstation Live network to buy games, so two questions

1.) Do I need that PSN Live card for 49.99 in order to purchase games?

2.) I see on BestBuy.com that they sell Playstation Gift Cards. If I buy one of these for say $100, can I just use it to buy games online?

Look at Tritton headsets as well.

I don't believe you need Playstation Plus to purchase games from the PS Store.

In all honesty PS+ is worth it. While Xbox live "has the better community :rolleyes" PS offers way more with their subs. They give GREAT free games every month and the sales seem to be in more of an abundance with PS.

2. Yes you can use that gift card to buy games online. Don't sleep on physical sales too tho, there are sales to be had all around with this generation. Welcome to the Playstation family. Add me when you get yours, I finally opened my PS4 last week

Correct. There's really nothing notable for ps4. I think Lone survivor and that Bitrunner game are crossplatform. I think.

Thanks for the info. Physical as in going to say a Best Buy/Amazon/Game Stop I assume is what you mean? Definitely going to try and build a nice little collection of games. Hoping with $750.00 today I can amass a nice little start

The games he posted in his original post are from 2014. The 2015 ones (if the sale happens) are not up yet.

Why he posted that and then links to 4 old sales is beyond me. His Niketalk post timer must have went off and he had nothing better to post in here.
