The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Hey all, quick question --

So my PS4 came with the PS4 Silver Headset --- it sounds great, but is a bit uncomfortable and its wired.

I might go pick up the Gold Headset today thats supposed to be really comfy and also is wireless....my MAIN question though is ---

Will the gold headset also work on my TV? I would love a headset I can use on both the PS4 as well as my TV when I'm not playing video games. Any help is appreciated! Thanks
As of last summer it did not. Even if your TV has a USB port, the headset would not work. Some people have said it'll work if you have it plugged into the TV via mine-usb/USB cable, but you'd need a pretty long one.

Unless there has been a software update for the headset to enable it, I think you're out of luck.

I think it'd be easier for you to find a set of TV headphones that would be compatible with PS4. I think Sennheiser RS160/170 are... but you'd have to confirm.

The pulse elites let you do that. Just plug the USB dongle that it comes with into the ps4, then plug one end of the included aux cable into that and the other end into your tv. Doing that allows basically any device to be used wirelessly.

It's getting pretty good reviews, never played GC version either, only PS1. I might get it.

Getting great reviews everywhere, except Gamespot, but when are they ever satisfied.

Done with the Infamous series. Tried giving FL a try but it's the same crap over and over.

Is Project CARS closed circuit only? Game looks good. Do you guys normally buy more than racing game?

edit: I thought this game was cancelled for the Wii U

projfect cars if circuit racing only. Supposedly the game imitates specific weather conditions on famous race dates.

They've also bragged about how top racers use their game mechanics to practice for real races.

Driveclub and The Crew have me a little leary about this game, but I am hoping there are no issues. I'll wait until after release to pull the trigger.

That said, it LOOKS phenomenal.
Not sure it's fair to compare it to DriveClub or The Crew... still got the problem of not having a wheel for PS4... unless the DFGT now works on it.  I have no idea, really.

I'm still waiting for my free PS+ ver. of DriveClub!

I buy a few a year. I like sim more than arcade, with GT and Grid being my favorite series. I also try every NFS that comes out.

Im not great at them and just use a controller, but @SinnerP  and a few others in here play GT pretty seriously.

I think I'm the only one left... I'm constantly talking to myself in the GT6 thread...

Having said that, I haven't played it in a while.

@SinnerP  I know they aren't comparable games, but it just seems the last couple racing game sin gernal have had issues on release date, especially if they are trying to embrace MP like it seem Project CARS is.

I just got tired of waiting for the concept cars from Nike and Jordan.

Racing games are my second favorite Genre after JRPG's but I never have time for JRPG's these days.

It was cancelled for Previous gen. The Wii-U version has no release date though so not looking good on that front and It would be the weakest of the bunch too but I don't think it'll be cancelled.

I dont know what it is, but it seems like it's the online component in The Crew and Driveclub which caused the issues. I might be wrong, though.

Yea for Driveclub, it was strictly online that was the problem. The servers couldn't handle the load that players were generating from challenges ,face offs etc. That's why it worked fine for the beta and for reviewers to review the game but come release day it just died from overload.

The game is fine now though. Anyone who gets it now or waits for PS+ will be in for a treat with all the updates and DLC that's dropped. The Japanese tracks came out today.

Never ended up picking GT6 because of the PS4 and because I couldn't get a good price for the Asian collectors edition with the Apex II book. I will be in for Project Cars though.

Need to bite the bullet one day and get a wheel and arcade stick. I just can't commit
