Music Unlimited shutting down.

We know how important music is to our community of gamers, and this partnership combines the best in music with the best in gaming. PlayStation Network users will enjoy the convenience of linking your accounts to Spotify, making it easy to sign-up with your existing ID and subscribe to Spotify’s Premium service. You can also use Spotify while playing games on PS4, enabling you to soundtrack your gaming sessions with your favorite songs in the background. Want something heavy and rocking for an intense Destiny Raid? How about some old school hip hop while taking the field in Madden NFL? With more than 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists, Spotify on PlayStation Music has it covered. As we get closer to launch we look forward to telling you about some of the other great features that will be available exclusively through Spotify on PlayStation Music.
The new service will launch initially on PS4 and PS3, as well as Xperia smartphones and tablets. You’ll of course be able to listen to your favorite playlists – including existing playlists from current Spotify users as well as Spotify curated playlists – and enjoy the service on all of Spotify’s supported devices.
Prior to the launch of Spotify on PlayStation Music, the Music Unlimited service will close in all 19 countries on March 29, 2015. Nearly all of these countries will be among the 41 markets where PlayStation Music featuring Spotify will be available at launch, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. From February 28, 2015, Music Unlimited users with active subscriptions will receive free access to Music Unlimited through March 29, 2015.
Stay tuned to PlayStation.Blog for more details on PlayStation Music featuring Spotify, and in the meantime you can sign up for updates here.

I actually like the idea of Spotify + PS. I think Unlimited was trash. I used it with my trial and the selection was kind of weak. Good move from Sony.

Final Fantasy XIV is free this weekend starting on Friday.

I only had Music Unlimited for a month from the free trial for pre-ordering the PS4 and the selection seemed so minuscule. It was basically a collection of top 40 radio and albums. There's a lot of duplicate songs on there too.

I don't even see the need for Music Unlimited OR Spotify after the USB music player though.

I'd recommend this spotify playlist.

I don't know how, but I had a feeling it would be the Forza Horizon 2 soundtrack.

Spotify would make it easy to pull up your music at someone else's house and what not.

Bascially it's the icloud of music apps.

Seriously, though, I cannot wait for the day I can race in a digital version of my city using any car I wish.

Yea I'm good with the USB music but definitely will try it out. My sister has the free version and I hate the ads but the selection is good.

Looking good :pimp:.

The 2015-due game will be a free-to-play action title with item micro-transactions for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. It’s produced by Minae Matsukawa, directed by Kent Kino****a, and executive produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Players take on the role of an Awakened in the new land of Lestaria. You’ll be able to adventure with four-player parties (if you prefer to play solo, you can take three AI pawns with you), as well as chat, form parties, and spend free time in town lobbies with up to 100 people. There will also be a “Quick Matching” feature.

Dragon’s Dogma Online is similar to previous entries terms of combat. Clinging attacks remain present. Players will battle against big enemies in dramatic battles, and monsters can become enraged, leading to fiercer attacks.

  • Development started with the basic desire of taking Dragon’s Dogma and making it playable in an online environment.
  • The game couldn’t be made in tandem with Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and was therefore pushed back.
  • Capcom contemplated a monthly fee, but chose freeo-to-play in the end in an attempt to get more players to try it out.
  • Though paid items are present, the game will still feel like a proper Dragon’s Dogma game.
  • The story is completely new and there are no character connections. (Editor’s note: We take it this means no character connections to the previous game.)
  • The game world will initially be the size of what players have come to expect from previous games, but will expand over time to be three times larger in scope.
  • Parties are formed in the lobby, after which players depart for the field.
  • An effort has been made to emphasize the strengths and traits of individual classes, but it’s not balanced so strictly that players need to be super meticulous about party makeup.

Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono also adds that the game’s development is benefiting from the cooperation of Sony Computer Entertainment.

Sony paying all the bills for Capcom's games

Street Fighter V, Deep Down and now Dragon's Dogma Online.

I'm liking this partnership, I wonder what's next.

Still haven't played DD Arisen. It's in my PS+ backlog but this looks good from the scans.

I actually hope this works out well for Capcom and becomes what FFXIV is to Square.
