The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I really didn't like the setting for Shadowfall. It kinda sucks that they nuked Helghan in KZ3. I don't think they'll ever achieve the atmosphere from Kilzone 2, which is a shame.

But I quite liked the MP in Shadowfall...and 2 and 3. Guerilla has done some cool things in MP. Warzone is a mode that more MP shooters should adapt. And that Operations mode in KZ 3 was great as well. I was bummed they didn't do more of those through DLC.

Pretty sure Guerilla is gonna release that new IP before the next Killzone though. By that time I'll be ready for some more Killzone. Why not?
yeah if they make the new IP first with the mechanic dino things and then make a new KZ that would be better.

and yes KZ2 can never be topped imo. the atmosphere, tension and tone of the game was great. but KZ3 ruined the story since the ending was pretty bad. thats probably one reason they pushed the story a 20 years ahead and make 0 mentions of the characters in KZ2-3

hopefully they are able to fine tune the MP in the next one because i always felt that KZ could be something big

I'm sure you'll get the full suite of gameplay modes in The Order 1887.

1886 seems like a good start for RAD's first original game. Get the engine up and running, deliver a solid single player experience and then build from there.

Saw this on reddit this morning, and immediately thought it came from one of you.

Caught Jose on a good day.

You guys think getting Dying light and the Order would be OD?
Plenty of gaming there. Order to run dolo, DL to run if you have friends with the game. DL is fun, I am going to wait for the Order reviews don't want to add to my backlog for no reason.

Question about Dying Light, is the entire campaign playable with co-op?  Or is it like Assassin's Creed where you only play a few missions co-op?

Whole game it appears so far, you have to do the first mission dolo then co-op is avaliable. Its like Borderlands, so you can jump in others games at any point of the game and do the missions with them, so I have some crazy weapons my boys dropped for me being they are ahead which is OP for the level I am at in the game but the weapons aren't level based so I am ripping through missions where I am presently.

Omg idk if anyone else is pumped that Bethesda is having a presser at E3 helloooo fallout 4

Def need next gen Fallout Heard it's supposed to be set in Massachusetts, if anyone remembers the Android quest on Rivet City from FO3

Ill be more excited when they give Obsidian the green light for Fallout Los Angeles :nthat:

That's what I want to play, not Bethesda's new version of Fallout 3 where they dont stay true to lore and just do stuff just because its cool regardless of whether it makes sense in the world. Yes I value the story and consistencies in my rpgs, especially Fallout's story so if they could use Feargus Urquhart's idea of Bethesda handling the East Coast and Obsidian handling the West Coast then Id be happy and both gamers & fans of each studio could get what we want.

If Bethesda gives them enough freedom, but more importantly doesn't rush them again and gives Obsidian enough time to make a great game the way its supposed to be then Fallout LA should be another one of my favorite games. Till then I can only imagine. Plus the new system shouldnt hold the games back like the previous gen so there are a lot of possibilities.

Hopefully Bethesda makes a really great engine this time and include running and jumping and doesn't have the terrible bugs. The gamebryo engine was so trash. I think they can do it, but then again this is Bethesda we're talking about, the bugs will always be there

This just sold me on Dying Light. I've been looking for a good zombie co-op game. I'm gonna cop DL and wait for a price drop on The Order.

Someone could let you shareplay Dying Light right?

Yeah, like shotta said, DL is a good game. Gameplay wise.

I have 2 questions regarding the order:

Will there be any replay value?
Will this game be a challenge? Meaning that it won't be a cakewalk.

If yes on both, i'll cop during the release dat weekend. If not, i'll wait a few months.

What do you consider replay value?

I think it'll be along the lines of Uncharted minus the multiplayer.

1. That depends your definition of replay value.

Replay value as the game being so fun, that you want to play it again for collectibles?

Replay value as in challenges, new game +, horde mode, etc?

I think there will be replay value options, but that will depend on how much you like the game.

If you're like me and would rather move onto other games, most likely the replay value won't hold your attention.

2. All they have to do to make the game difficult is to make your health scarce, ala max payne 3.

I think the game will be as challenging as you want to make.

However, they've boasted about the gameplay being cinamatic.

Again it depends.

Do you want to enjoy the story or shareplay with your buddy because you can't get past a corridor?
