The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I won't be copping. Not because it won't be great but more because I'm just not into it. I always thought Dark Souls was a step behind graphically every time it dropped. So I will consign with you.

Yeah, Dark Souls has never been cutting edge graphically. (Although it looks fantastic on PC)

But IGN captured footage always looks terrible.

Looks like a ps3/360 game though? No. That's just silly.

Beat The Order last night;  if you're looking to actually PLAY a game, it's a very subpar experience that is worth a rental at best. It's probably going to end up on my top 10 list of most disappointing games of 2015 because I value gameplay over cutscenes and stories in video games. However, a lot of people are into cinematic games and you might find something to like in The Order.

The good: They touted that they wanted to build a very cinematic experience and they succeeded on that front. There's plenty of detail in the environments and some thrilling set pieces that really nail the aestethic they were aiming for. The graphics are extremely impressive that I would even go as far saying that this is the best looking "next-gen" console game yet, by a wide margin.

The bad: The character development and actual plot is pretty bad; high school creative writing class bad.

The worse: There are cut scenes that last over 5 minutes where you can't control anything. There's a chapter that's a little over 5 minutes long. When it comes to actual game play, The Order is a level below Beyond: two souls. Boss fights are re-used. Over reliance on QTE's. Constant button prompts and hand holding through tediously linear levels. There's literally no replay factor; none at all besides going for trophies. No unlocks, upgrades, new game +. Nothing.

Beat the game in 6 and a half hours on my first playthrough.

Damn Shame. +1 On the Review though.

This came in the mail today. Got to test it out with the wifey. We both are in AWE of how incredible this thing is, all I can do is pray this is the future of gaming. They have this Semi-Football game on here, and looking around the field and at the opposition is AMAZING!!! Everything about this thing is INSANE.

Is this bad for your vision mine? is getting bad now

Doesn't hurt your vision at all. Of course it's good to limit it to 30 min spurts to avoid eye strain. Also, I wear glasses and I was able to adjust the focus - so I didn't need my glasses at all. And I'm pretty blind lol.

Dude that's awesome I'm blind as hell too so that's good news.. but what's the deal with those.. I heard Oculus are planning to release a retail version soon and Sony, Samsung and a few others are making VR too.  What is the one you have?

Man Destiny is dope now I don't care
laugh.gif

To me it is.
Destiny has always been a dope game. Biggest and most valid criticism is that they split the game up into too many pieces, making it feel like 1/3 of a game. Not Bungie's fault, Activision strong armed them into doing so.

Do you guys think your character from Destiny 1 will transfer to Destiny. They DID say they wanted to make Destiny with a 10 year life span, so it seems logical. Another question: Since they're going the MMO route, do you think the planets in Destiny 1 will be playable in Destiny 2 to create a massive universe. I hope the answer to these questions is a resounding yes. Nothing has ever been done to that scale on consoles before.
