The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Hmm...

now imagine me posting spoilers to a game no one's played in the xbone thread.
I don't think we would be so sensitive to a screen shot that doesn't destroy the story or anything but yall carry on.
Because if there's one thing we do know, it's that nobody is sensitive to stuff I post in the xbone thread.

" HALO 5 FINAL BOSS" screen cap. Yeah, huge fits would be thrown.
They would only react because if it was you, you come there to rustle feathers. I personally don't care, I like the jokes from the PS, Xbox debates.

This is a Japanese arcade game. No planned release for consoles.

what are the chances of this game possibly coming out to my ps4? plz tell me there is a possibility :wow:

You guys realize that it's a CG trailer right? There's no real gameplay... Wait to see the game in action before you ask it to be ported over.

Everyone saw the original Dissida announcement got hyped and then when people saw the gameplay and it dropped it only just sold OK.

cause it was on PSP. If it would have been on PS3, I bet it would have sold better

It doesn't take long to get them to 20, less than a day. The game has a story is just not crazy captivating. There is a lot wrong with Destiny but it's not as bad as yall make it seem.
Destiny 2 will be what everyone thought Destiny would be.
Destiny should just modeled of Borderlands and it would have been great. Mad content and weapons. The raids are pretty dope. But the 2nd DLC was trash only 2 levels, we hit 32 mad quick.

Way to totally contradict yourself.

There's a big difference between Vanilla WoW and Destiny. Vanilla WoW was actually fun and had deep addictive gameplay. Destiny is a long grind that doesn't really even reward you for being a top tier player because of how their RNG system is setup.

Vanilla WoW, with no PVP reward system I am guessing you are saying as well right? You were rewarded with having raid gear and nobody else did. Destiny could not be like that and survive because they tried to cater to casual players along with serious gamers. That and the amount of exploits the players find in this game is pretty impressive

Sadly, I don't know if there will be a console game that has the scale that WoW did/does. That game really was the game changer when it came out.

The only thing as far as rewarding the top tier players in Destiny they need to address is if someone gets #1 on the winning team in PvP, the bad player with a 0.4 k/d should not have a chance at a legendary or exotic or anything at all for that matter. Top 2 on winning team and the #1 on the losing team should each have a chance at an drops, with the #1 on the winning team with the highest % chance at something.

You might have an argument when it comes strictly to PVP but I'm really speaking of the overall experience.

And I thought the PvP titles and HK system in vanilla were good enough. Getting to Grand Marshall (even though we had to schedule this every week on the forums and take turns) was still pretty awesome. I still had more fun doing twink premade Warsong and week long AV's than I ever did when arena was introduced.

The issue with Destiny is that it was marketed as CoD in space with small MMO elements. So the crowd that came over from those types of games were shocked and what they bought. I don't feel like Bungie has done either the fps aspect or the mmo aspect of their gameplay in an exceptional fashion. So what we're left with is a good game that is just looked at as a major disappointment by fans of both genres.

On a side note DKP was a terrible way to do loot. Loot Council was and is the best way period to handle drops.

gonna wait for the gamestop used game if it really is only 10 hours
Everybody play style is different, it may take you longer or less, why judge a game for play through time when YOU haven't played it yet?

This is true, so if its more than its still no biggie, I will find it used in about a week after this weekend. So no major wait, i will just work more OT to pass the time

Again, you don't see anything wrong with having to get your character to a certain level before the game "opens up"?Nobody said the game is bad it's just boring and tedious. Very tedious.

See you are probably the BF or COD type guy that has everything open off the bat, I guess you want instant rewards. I mean I could be wrong but it seems that a lot of people that bash Destiny usually fall into this category. That isn't the case for some games. Have you played any RPGs where you couldn't access any areas UNTIL you reached a certain level? It's a way to keep the player engaged.

Like Shotta said, this game is far from perfect and once they develop purely for next gen it should reach where it should have been. It is Bungie at the end and they have taken some of our critiques seriously and have made small adjustments. I have faith in them. I don't have faith in Activision being the publisher trying to nickle and dime people though.

That wasn't all CG. There's definitely a lot of gameplay in there. A pure CG trailer would look better and be more complex than that. The original dissidia is proof.

Even if it was CG those graphics are definitely attainable on PS4. Also the sales numbers has more to do with the platform it was on than the quality of the game.

We did DKP just because we had people quitting at times and so the ones who were hardcore would come out on top. We did have priority where the tank would get the necessary gear first to make the lives of healers easier. I played a Paladin in vanilla WoW myself so I felt that first hand. Nax and Ahn' Qiraj was great in terms of mechanics and team work. I'm glad that I quit as soon as the expansion hit. I got the enjoy the best part of the game IMO. It seems too overwhelming and is geared to much towards the average person now.

Man I stayed in AV when that first came out. I loved playing that game mode

I never made it to GM but there were like 3 in our guild (1 mage and 2 rogues)

My level 39 twink warrior charging and hamstring'n everyone before they had mounts to use at 40

I have always said that they tried to be a true FPS and MMO and then merge the 2, but they left FPS pissed at the MMO/RNG aspects and not paying attention to the PvP modes and maps....but then they didn't put enough MMO content in the game to keep those guys happy either.

Since I don't play nearly as much as I used to (was college back then) I don't mind just a few hours a night to do what I need to and raid/pvp and chill. I do hope that Destiny 2 like the person suggested carries these guys over (which I believe was announced) and also double in size in terms of planets, missions, strikes, raids,armor/weapons, etc.

I just looked up Loot Council and it definitely seems a lot better than the DKP system. I haven't touched a game with a system that needed it since I left college back in '08. When you have the most points and win an item, but then the next boss drops your class and you are the last person that needed it and caused you drop to the bottom as far as points

The whole trailer is CG mixed in with a scripted mess. Look closer at the character models in the "gameplay" they're nowhere close to what you would expect from SE on the PS4. And speaking of gameplay it's not deep enough to warrant a console release. The team knows this and management knows this, which is why it's an arcade game that you can play for 3-5 minutes at a time. It MIGHT get ported to Vita, but as you already professed you believe that the platform had something to do with the poor sales so why even bother?

It's not coming to consoles as it stands because there's not enough there to justify this being a $40 or $60 game. This isn't Arc System Works. This isn't Capcom. This isn't NetherRealm. They simply don't have solid enough design, balance, online infrastructure, or competitive strategy to put this out on consoles.

Stop reading at bf and cod, never played bf (yes serious) and advance warfare is the first cod game played since mw2. I'm judging this game on what I played and it's just boring.

The reviews drop tomorrow so we'll see.

For me, I wanted this game the moment I seen the reveal trailer. I don't think I'm as nitpicky as some others in here who critique games. I either like a game or I don't! If it ends up being a dud, I'll just trade it in at BB (GCU member now

), get $40+ back, take the $20 loss and move on to something else.
On 99gamers, newly released games go for about 75 coins. I bought far cry 4 xb1 brand new off of there, put in about 20 hrs, then resold it for 70 coins.

Then I recopped for the ps4.

Just illustrating that you'd take less of an loss by selling said game on 99gamers. Unless you'd reather have BB credit.

I like the artwork. This game looks like an next gen version of monster hunter.

I can't see it staying an arcade game though. I'm sure even Sony will try and get it on console if SE doesn't do anything.

If Type-0 made the jump when things looked bad, I'm going to stay excited for this

I remember that first trailer.
Warrior of Light facing up to Sephiroth. Good times.
I was still hyped even when I saw gameplay.

As for the video, is it at least a target? They used the same camera angles as normal gameplay.
Lightning's Army of One move is what I'd expect for it to look in game.

That arcade game do you pay with quarters or a credit card?
Both probably. I know Street Fighter IV uses a card that can save your data and all your stats but I think you still pay normally by cash or card.

Some arcades in the US have a card you top up and you can use that on the machines.

Man NT has been intense over the last week or so

I blame The Order

The game's causing trouble everywhere

^^^

Look there's been enough bad PR with expectations about SquareEnix products. I'm just trying to keep it real so people don't get hyped for nothing.

Speaking of that

Star Ocean 5 is still coming dammit!
