Thinking about it.  Definitely a different take on the Battlefield series, but I had a chance to play a bit of the beta and thought it was a lot of fun.

Was warframe a good game?

It's apparently changed a lot since it launched with the PS4 so it'll be best to test it out yourself.

It's free so might as well.

Different. You hunt the monster, there are 4 diff classes with diff skill sets. The monster can upgrade also and become stronger.

There is 1 game mode which is objective based, you have to save other team members and stop more monsters from hatching.
