The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Yeah It def doesn't take that long because you only need to fight like 6-7 bosses to compelete the game.
With that prima guide, I basically did everything.

I saw the true ending...

Ready At Dawn has named Paul Sams as its new CEO as it seeks to publish its own games.

Sams main role at Ready At Dawn will be to take the business pressures off Weerasuriya, so he and his team can focus on making games.

I did the hard ending first, glad I did it that way too. I'm saving running through NG++ until I finish the chalice dungeons. I'm on the final chalice dungeon right now. 3 more bosses to go.

The defiled dungeon was easily the hardest. The Amygala fight with half health and nerfed stats is a nightmare. Easily did at least 100 runs to get a kill since she kills you in 1 hit.

I'm sitting at about 75 hours of playtime and level 137. The platinum is coming tho...

Anyone on NT get the platinum yet?

@CenTex HOGG  plat the game. Yeah real smart u did the harder ending first. NG+ wasn't bad I knocked it out in like 2 sittings. But NG++ seems harder but U can coop with anyone anyway to jump bosses lol. Last time I played I killed the Shadow so I have like Rom the Nightmare Nurse then easy ending

I have plenty of dungeons left I only finished like 3-4 of them. Think I am like level 130-140 something now myself. Still using the Axe.

Supposedly FF XVI is also being worked on. I doubt it but I do expect a quick turnaround after XV, I don't see SE making another JRPG for the X1 after XV and KH3, the market just isn't there.

SE internal is a multiplat shop. PC XBone PS4 for everything.

FREE AT LAUNCH WITH PS+!!!!!!!111

Once upon a time, two friends named Tommy Refenes and Edmund McMillen got together to make a game. They called that game “Super Meat Boy”. They were forced to form a company by “the Man” and that company was given the name “Team Meat”, they did not pick this name, it was on some promotional information for a press event they attended and being the savvy businessmen they are they took a note from Warren “G” Buffett and rolled with it. For 18 months they both slaved away creating the greatest platformer they possibly could. The process was hard and very well documented in the best documentary ever Indie Game: The Movie. Neither Tommy nor Edmund expected Super Meat Boy to be a huge success. Much to their surprise, everyone wanted the game, including some very disappointed PlayStation fans.

When Super Meat Boy was launched, Team Meat wasn’t allowed to bring it to the PlayStation for very complicated reasons. They hated that they had to alienate the loyal PlayStation fans who desperately wanted the game but couldn’t have it. They felt their pain as PlayStation fans had to suffer for years without the greatest platformer ever made by two guys named Tommy and Edmund. Team Meat was very sad about this, but what could they do? Their hands were tied.

Earlier this year, Team Meat got an unexpected gift. The gods smiled upon them and opened up a teeny tiny sliver of a path that could eventually lead them to re-release Super Meat Boy. Even though the path would be difficult they knew they owed it to their fans to at least try.

Fast forward to today. We walked that arduous path and with a lot of hard work, a little convincing, and huge scoops of luck we are now here today with huge smiles on our faces to say:

SUPER MEAT BOY IS COMING TO PS4 AND PLAYSTATION VITA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one can complain about PS + ever again.

What did you think was the hardest part/boss of getting the platinum?
I'd definitely say the Yharnam Queen trophy was the hardest for me. The boss herself wasn't hard, it was the bosses you encountered in the dungeons leading up to the Yharnam Queen that were a pain in the ***. Abhorrent Beast and Watchdog of the Old Gods almost made me give up entirely. To make it worse, I had to fight Abhorrent Beast twice. It's definitely one of my more proud platinum trophies.

I assume they don't take much of a loss on X1 games then? I just never see any JRPG games succeed on X1. I can understand games like Tomb Raider, Hitman and Deus Ex but the JRPGs usually flop.

2nd playthrough was mad easy to me, third a little harder but maybe it's because I dont play BB as much. We gotta run something this week @CenTex HOGG
 BB or TLOU.
just let me know bruh. I'm in Florida now so I don't have my mic but I'm down to run either or both.

Yo****aka Amano doing art work for Bloodstained pledges of $800. Sold out in a matter of minutes!

My wife just copped The Witcher for me, $42 at BB with the price match :smokin

What he said about platform preference last year revolved around 1080p/60fps.
Now his platform preference seemingly revolves around the games.
I pointed out the shift.
I rarely play games a 2nd time after beating them the 1st time. I was watching a boss "quick" run on twitch. That looks more doable than another 40+ hr playthrough..

Maybe I'm missing it, but nothing quoted says his preference is based on performance/resolution.

It's just pointing out that multiplats offer better performance on PS4.

Which has nothing to do with wanting to play JRPG's.

Yea what Swendro said.

My preference has always been the games though. I love the Japanese games as much as the western ones and PS is the platform which has them all.

Gran Turismo 7 to See Improved Crash & Damage Physics, Coming Before 2017

View media item 1573744
Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi was in Paris last week for the formal unveiling of the new Peugeot Vision GT concept, offering the first chance in quite some time for members of the media to ask him questions. As would be expected, most of them were eager to get him talking about GT7.

The game hasn’t been formally announced, of course, so he was typically coy in his answers but did make some interesting remarks. In an interview with Italian gaming site SpazioGames.it, Yamauchi-san touched on the controversial subject of vehicular damage. Via Google Translation:

“Yamauchi has guaranteed that the seventh chapter will solve many problems related to the physical impacts and simulation of damage, two aspects that have always been taken seriously by fans of this saga. It also confirms a greater number of premium cars in Gran Turismo 7, although – for the moment – Yamauchi-san has preferred not to say too much about figures.

“Finally, when asked about the alleged arrival of Gran Turismo 7 in 2017, as initially feared by some sources, it came a blunt denial: “People will never wait so much.”

Welcome to Mirror's Edge Catalyst -Q1 2016

View media item 1573937
Two years ago we revealed that we were making a new Mirror’s Edge[emoji]8482[/emoji]. Last year, we gave you a behind the scenes look into some of the early progress we had made. And though we haven't said much else in all that time, we have been listening. Thank you for your incredible passion and your patience. I'm excited to tell you that it's paid off — by this time next week, you will have finally seen more of the game at E3.

Mirror’s Edge has always had a special place in the hearts of all of us at DICE. The first game had a lot of promise. It was unlike anything else in terms of the gameplay and style — it had a unique soul. But as much as we loved that game, we knew it could be more. So that’s what we have set out to do as we introduce Mirror’s Edge to a new generation.

The team has spent a lot of time re-evaluating every aspect of the game and making it a new experience. This is not a sequel, this is not Mirror's Edge 2. We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players.

So on behalf on the entire team here at DICE, we can’t wait to show you what we have been pouring our heart and soul into. We can’t wait to introduce you to Mirror’s Edge[emoji]8482[/emoji] Catalyst.
