If games are going to look that good in the next gen, do you guys still think that an abundance of crappy games will be made in the next gen?

I'm assuming yes, but I wonder how much it costs to make a crappy game look "next gen."

I think we are still a ways away. We dont even have a resolution that is close to what the human eye reproduces.

You guys remember this? I was so juiced for it. Now that im older i realise that i probraly wont be able to play it. Since consoles now last 10 year life cycle. Thats 50 years wow.

But being able to update and patch on the fly now that all systems are connected online. Wouldn't that extend the life cycle? Plus we are also past the "better graphics/power" phase, its more about detail and story telling in games, like say "the last of us". Idk i feel like 8 year will be the standard cycle.

Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the news on Twitter, telling a fan that the controller’s jack can be used for either voice chat or game audio. “You can choose,” he explained, adding another checkbox to the console’s seemingly limitless list of features. We’re not betting against the system being able to prepare a perfect bowl of porridge at this point.
