The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

The battle system. Real time vs turn based. Only being able to control one character in your party. Gameplay and everything I've seen makes me feel like this is more of a WRPG than a JRPG.
I believe that FF 12 did something similar to this, and that was a real fun game. I'm looking forward to 15 and 7:R in that respect.

It's been heading that way since FF12 and FF13 and some of the spin offs like Type-0 with respects to the battle system so to me it's just natural progression. Noctis being the only controllable character though is a bit backwards though after Type-0 and XIII-2 but then again I've been on blackout so I don't know much about the battle system.

Everything else still seems normal JRPG to me from the design of the characters, weapons, locations, architecture, summons and even the funky latin names compared to the likes of Skyrim, Dragon Age or The Witcher.

Finally picked up mad max... Played all weekend and only cleared Jeet's Section.

I'm just driving around fighting and ****. :pimp:

Fun game

We'll see what the final product looks like, but in XII and XIII, turn-based elements still played a major role in battle. This is looking less and less like that and more of an action-style combat.

Was going to post something similiar. The battle system looks more like Kingdom Hearts than any previous mainline FF entry. Again, I'm excited but I'd much prefer traditional turn based battle system. I think X-2s battle system would be perfect for a modern FF game.

So Bethesda is doing another conference at E3 this year. Any guesses what they could be revealing or showing off?

I'm hoping for a new Wolfenstein and The Evil Within 2.

Dishonored 2, Doom and Fallout DLC is too obvious.

^Looks promising. Basic, balanced weapons with no jetpacks, sliding soldiers, futuristic ******** will be a breath of fresh air. I can see myself getting competitive again with a game like this as I'm a huge fan of Battlefield and the likes.

Edit: Damn I was writing my post as I was watching the video then got to the end and found it was being funded on kickstarter :x :smh: :frown:

In bloodborne what type of character should u start off with???

Doesn't really matter, honestly.

If you wanna be OP, make a skill build.

I think Professional has the highest skill off the bat and then pick the Threaded Cane as your weapon.

Just keep leveling up Skill, Endurance and Vitality and you're good to go.

All 3 soft cap @ level 25 I believe.

Skill/Vitality will hard cap @ 50 and Endurance @ 40.

Really liked it. It was a little sparse, but I imagine that's mostly due to the Beta.

Big fan of how they are making the base expandable and integrating it into how you expand your perks.

Haven't had the chance to play the beta, but from what I'm hearing and reading, the gameplay and leveling up/progression system is similar to a modern day version of Destiny?

Can you guys recommend me a quicker paced zombie game I can grab? Don't care how old/new

I'm torn when it comes to the division. On one hand I really enjoyed the beta, but then I went back and watched the 2013 e3 trailer and it's almost completely different. I wish we were getting that game instead :smh:

Finally picked Tales of Zestiria back up. Luckily, I was able to get back into the main quest without too much wandering. I'll be in school for the next month so I'm trying to knock down my backlog some.

Anybody play Trails of Cold Steel? I'm thinking of getting it too. I really don't need anything new but I've heard nothing but good things about it.
