I'm currently playing on and off now. It's not the best Tales but not the worse either. It's worth $40 imo. Personally, I'm still waiting on a Tales game that rivals Vesperia but I'm beginning to think it won't happen. I enjoyed Graces F as well and would like something similar to that too.

Of all the Tales games I've completed....

1. Vesperia
2. Graces F
3. Xillia
4. Abyss
5. Xillia 2
6. Symphonia (I know I'm in the minority on this)

Looks good to me. Fire Balls, EX moves, Super Meter.

There's going to be a lot of SF Fans buying the game.

Him being integrated into the story on the other hand...
