I hear you. I just know for a fact if the EYE was mandatory and the Kinect wasn't, you'd be telling me how great the things was. But hey as it is, I think both will play a huge part in future gaming. But I'm in the minority here.

Save for Just dance and fitness games, there's nothing in the pipline that utilizes Kinnect in any meaningful way. Hell, Ryse started as a Kinnect game, only to be reworked into a controller game with minor Kinnect features.

Sony's shown some cool stuff with the PS eye and the Playroom demo, but nothing that makes the PS eye a must buy.

Outside of the initial launch titles, information on Next Gen gaming is very scarce. So neither of those statements hold much weight. It was cut because gamers SPOKE and they did NOT want a camera bundled, also they don't need another mega priced console 7 years later. Sony is learning from their mistakes if you didn't notice.

The camera itself doesn't even cost $100 and you don't even need it to play PS4 (unlike Xbox One before they change there policy).

I always agreed with party chat cause I missed that when I had a 360 we stayed in party chat.. I also always believed live was better but I never really knew about plus so my beliefs were always biased.. Trophies and achievement crap never mattered to me.

But those two things aren't the camera.. If the ps4 had mandatory camera id be pretty pissed.. I know I would never use it same with the kinect.. So glad they made it optional for us gamers and not throw it in up the price and make it mandatory.. If you want it buy it if not don't

Sony is going to lose money no matter what. No company sees profit after the first year or two anyways, of course it wouldn't be as bad if it was priced higher IE: $499.99, but they would be losing a lot of gamers and it would be PS3 all over again.

Yea the same Europe that the Xbox One has the free FORZA with every console sold? You and I both know damn well Sony is offering that sweet *** deal to compete with what M$ is doing. Don't try to use that as a basis to compare pricing in the US.

PS4 plus fifa is still cheaper than the XBone, it doesn't take a geenius to do the simple math but for people who can't then the bundle shows what you can get for the same price and the bundle has been up since August in France and Germany so it wasn't a reaction to MS bundling fifa or Forza.
MS threw in Fifa or Forza for FREE to help their pre order numbers. Why do you think the US doesn't have the same deal.

Your acting like the console COSTS 399 to make, Sony is losing money per console. A $499 price point with the camera would make perfect sense from a manufacture stand point.

That's like saying you don't want to pay for the on board Ethernet adapter, wireless capabilities and functionality of PSN - because you are a strictly offline gamer. Doesn't matter it is still factored in to the cost of the PS3/PS4. Truth is, if it is a part of that companies strategy (see Dreamcast) it will be included whether you want it or not and that company would be more than just to price you accordingly.

Yes, because an ethermet and wireless adapter which is a basic and integral part of the console is the same as an optional accessory.

The camera is a completely seperate device to the console and not every game will use it which is why it can be seperated or bundled. Most games, however, will utilise network capabilities, whether it's through multiplayer or patches or DLC, not to talk of the media capabilities of the console. Thisis why it's built into the console so your argument is flawed.
