BS by them. I'm #1 on the list at my GS, but i wouldn't be shocked if they bumped their boys up ahead of me. As long as i get mine launch day, i'm good.

For those who preorder from Amazon, can anybody confirm that if you copped a launch day edition, we WILL be getting it on the 15th? None of this it will leave there warehouse on the 15th?

Amazon doesn't ship my stuff until the prior day of release. The only time I didn't get it on time is when it rained when Arkham City released.

i asked them a few days ago about it, and they said that it would be here on the 15th.. i also asked if it would most likely ship out on tuesday or wednesday then to make sure it's here on the 15th, and all they told me was it will be delivered on the 15th

i doubt launch ps4 purchases are even going to be stored at some warehouse
my guess is that launch units are going out from distribution as soon as they come in from overseas and that definitely wont be the 15th
somebody who's worked a launch at gamestop/bestbuy/wherever should comment on when the systems actually come in to their stores

Man, the closer we get to launch, I'm starting to realize that there's only 2 original games launching on the PS4; Knack and Kill Zone. The rest are all upscaled current-gen games, not that I'm complaining, just something I'm starting to notice now. I have a launch day PS4 but I'm starting to think maybe it would just be better to re-sell it and wait 6 months until the good games come out. It feels so good to have a console at launch though...

Yea most of the games launching are basically ps3 games. Killzone and fifa 14 ($10 upgrade) are the only games ill be getting.

The game is probably not gonna be that good but I'm sure the graphics will look much better than they do in that trailer. The graphics in that video are barely up to par with current gen

I'm done with Live. I was probably one of the last Live supporters still around. That teaser looks awful. I haven't even played a basketball game in years. There's just been better games in other sports. Live 07 was a travesty. It might be the worst basketball, maybe even worst sports game, of all time. Live 08 made major strides. It was FAR from perfect, but after 07, no one was going to give them a chance. Live 09 and 10 made gameplay improvements, but degraded graphically. I still think Live 08 and 09 have the best player faces/models of this entire generation.
The GameSpot page doesn't seem to work, but I still found some comparison shots. Live 08 on the top, 2K8 on the bottom.

I wasn't a fan of 2K, especially early on. I hated when they had shooting with the analog stick, the player models were so jacked up that they looked nothing like the real life counterparts. Every player was built like Dwight Howard. Bunch of Supermen running down the court with XXL And1 streetball shorts on with jerseys that hover above their torsos. Live was implementing features like analog stick dribbling and hot spots that eventually made their way to 2K years later. Live 07 was a disgrace and most people just jumped ship and never gave them a fair shake afterword. They never recovered.
I felt like a new console generation would be a fresh start for everyone and that the Live developers, of all people, would know how important it would be for them to make a good first impression for the new console generation. All the things I didn't like in the 2K games for this current generation look like they've been addressed for next gen. Plus all the favourable changes they've made in the more recent games like analog ball handling.
Unless the Live gameplay reveal looks different (better) than that teaser, then I'm just going to switch to 2K.
I apologize for the rant and the wall of text. Live just keeps dropping the ball. (No pun intended.)
