what if the maps werent wrong and it was like that ps4 apartment building? you go to these random places theyve marked on maps that look like a total mistake. soon as you get there its some sort of playstation oasis theyve set up? thatd be crazy...and also will never ever happen. ever. lol

Years back at 2009 CES I got slipped a hotel room key after a dev meeting in one of our exit packets. The accompanying note just said "If you're looking for a good time and not afraid of pain come to suite XXXX in the Planet Hollywood at X:XX (time)". Me and my co-worker were like "why the **** not?" and rolled up there. After getting on the right elevator we found the floor to be quiet and empty of people. There was no security outside or anything so we knocked on the door. No one answered so we slipped the key in and entered.

As we walked in, we were greeted by 2 beautiful women and were given a black bag, and offered food, drinks, etc. We looked up at the AV setup, our eyes lit up, and we knew what we were in for...

The suite was Capcom's and they were showing off the console version of Street Fighter IV with the Mad Catz tourney sticks. We got to play them for quite a while before they officially dropped and give feedback. After we were done we got invited to go to their bigger party they were having and to watch their tournament between Capcom, Sony, and Microsoft in SFIV ( I don't remember who won)

Been to many an industry party but nothing as secretive as the lead up to that

Did you ever post your resume or say who you are in the industry? If not, I just can't take anything you say seriously. I've never heard of a rule or stipulation where you're absolutely denied to tell anyone what you do or where you work. This isn't the FBI or the CIA, it's the video game industry where networking and getting yourself out there is a necessity. If you did actually post proof than I apologize, but if not, you're just a liar, plain and simple.

Is that how you access the HDD to change/upgrade it? That's pretty cool. They even have a special bolt.

I should look into buying a hard drive. I bought a 320GB maybe a couple years after I got the OG 60GB. Half a TB might not be enough for these consoles in the long run. Killzone: Shadow Fall is like 50 GB's.

I'm definitely leaning towards 2TB harddrive on day 1. 500GB is just not enough, especially since most people will have PS+ from day 1.

I'm keeping an eye to see how the hybrid drives perform though

Has anyone heard if there will be a Street Fighter V for next gen? I'm getting into SFIV and really want to cop a Hori, but I read it won't be compatible on the PS4.

i just realized, i posted that my turtle beaches would be compatible with ps4, but then i realized, it hooks up wo the red/white audio cables from the composite cables.  PS4 is strictly hdmi.  Hmm....

A couple things:

1. If you have been any sort of regular, you'd know Hybrid is beyond legit. Boost, myself, and the several people in this thread that have been in various video game threads since 2003-2004 can vouch for him. And if that's not good enough for you, simply ignore his posts.

2. That's a very confrontational post... don't know why you felt the need for that.

3. This pops up once every couple months and Im sure he gets tired of posting the same reponse over and over.

4. If it is that serious, PM him.

You might be able to convert the RCA connection into a headphone jack and get game audio that way. I don't know what the quality of these components are. Just posting them for reference. You might also need a 3.5mm jack extension. I have two of them because I discovered a crude way to use a 360 Turtle Beach headset I had with my PS3.

I extended the audio cord to my TV headphone jack and the microphone cord into a USB sound card plugged into my PS3. I had to use an extension cable from a wall outlet and my phones USB charger to power them. The PS3 recognized the audio input device and it all worked.

Hybrid is definitely a dev.

He posted about the 50% performance difference between the 2 next gen consoles in this thread looong before EDGE and other sites posted it.
He also knew the FFXIV release date a long time ago.

There's no stipulation on not speaking about what I do and I choose not to disclose where I work because of the personal opinions I make on this site that may reflect back on me or my studio. I'm a programmer that recently moved into a production role for a video game studio in Los Angeles. I also do SCRUM consulting on the side for software development. That's all that needs to be said about my work.
