I have a ps3, so will I be able to get his ps+ benefits even though I'm not a ps+ subscriber?
Will I have to play the games on his account?

If I remember correctly.. don't think you'll get benefits from his PS+ account unless your account is on his PS4 as well.
I think they said you'll only need 1 ps+ account per system and everyone else on the system will benefit from it.. I might be wrong tho
