I am not looking forward to Gaikai. I would rather have a PS3. Can hop on amazon and by great games for 5 bucks in the future. Would not want a service to have control over what I play and when I play it. Who knows how long it will take them to add the random titles we want to play.

I got various ps3 for for cheap($7-$20).

The most expensive one I copped was MGS legacy collection for $30.

Not as cheap as the others but still a good deal.

Yes, I believe.

Updates further down the line should fix these problems, but it's unclear as to when said updates would be released.

IDK who's going to do it, but I bet some wizard on reddit is going to make a ps3/4.

This person will somehow fuse the ps3 and ps4 to make one all-encompassing console.

AC pisses me off. I swear Naval battle is so damn difficult.

Its easier once you upgrade your ship more...wait till you battle a legendary ship if you havent yet. I only spotted 1 so far and can't beat it

Just out of curiosity. For the people who want PS3 games to be ported up to PS4. You obviously didn't get a PS3. If you didn't want a PS3, why do you want ports of PS3 games? I agree with iYen and I also think there is a giant library of good exclusives to play. Guys like iYen are just discovering games they haven't played before like Heavy Rain.

I feel like even right now, getting a PS3 is a good investment. A lot of these games will be cheap and the PS4 barely came out and it takes time for the library to increase. A lot of our PS3 family on here still have backlogs.

Studios like Ready at Dawn ported PS2 games to PS3, but their new game The Order: 1886 for PS4 looks really dope. I feel like it's a waste of talent to have these guys port existing games. I can understand if the game is really old, but The Last of Us came out like 6-7 months ago.

Think of it like DVD's and Blu Rays. You have your favorite movie on DVD then Blu Rays come along. Do you want to just watch your favorite movie on DVD forever? No. Same thing applies to remastered PS2/ PS3 games.

Blu-ray players can play and upscale DVD's. When movies get remastered, they're usually pretty old. Any DVD that released 6-7 months ago probably also released on Blu. And they could watch the DVD. Converting a video is probably a lot easier than converting a PS3 game.

My question was for the people who didn't want a PS3, but want PS3 ports. The PS3 is a great system. There's a huge library of triple A exclusives. We still have backlogs in here. If someone wants to play a PS3 game from half a year ago, they may have to wait a while. I personally think the PS3 is worth the money and maybe new owners will discover a bunch of games they looked over.

I'm not sure if there's a whole lot of people in this thread that didn't own a PS3. But if people make the jump from 360 to PS4 it makes sense why they would rather have remasters of PS3 games than to have to buy a PS3, no?

I made the jump to PS4 for PS4 games. I want to see new games that take advantage of the stronger hardware. Not old games that I've played several months ago. When they're actually old, I can understand. I'm probably going to get the FFX/X-2 remaster, but the PS3 has come down in price a lot. If someone passed on the PS3, they should be content with their decision.

I just don't want to see triple A developers relegated to last generation port jobs when now some of these guys are making new games that look incredible.

You bought a PS4 to play PS4 games. Great. Some people would like to have remasters of the big PS3 titles on the PS4. That's great too. It's nice to have options. You don't want remasters then simply don't buy them. I don't recall a single Triple A dev working on any of the PS2 HD remakes and I bet RAD would say their experience porting the GOW games was a nice way to get their feet wet in console development before moving on to The Order.

It is nice to have options. I agree man. I just saw that screenshot of a comment from a couple pages back that someone at Naughty Dog said in answer to asking for a The Last of Us port. Who knows if RAD could of made something original that was amazing on PS3 instead of the GOW collection.

The PS4 barely released and there isn't even that many games out and people are asking for old games. Just seems like something that should be focused on later.

I don't think it has anything to do with how Tomb Raider sells. It has to do with when Gaikai is up and running. I'm telling you that's how "backwards compatibility" is going to work(using quotations because technically it isn't backwards compatibility isn't at play, it's streaming using the PS4 as a hub).

My point was that Tomb Raider is getting ported for next gen consoles and It's meant to be the definitive version i.e better graphics and all the bells and whistles that the PC version had plus more probably .

Naughty Dog are using the Uncharted engine for the next Uncharted so if Tomb Raider sells well then I can see them porting The Last of Us over since a next gen version of the game is requesteded a lot more than Tomb Raider and it's just easy money for Sony since they are going to use the updated engine for the next Uncharted anyway.

The Last of Us is still charting in the european charts so using that momentum if they have a PS4 version released around Summer or fall then it's just easy cash IMO.

love the games I have and it actually got me back into games

I get shot all day in bf4 cause I'm just looking around in amazement of how ill the game looks and nba2k14 is super detailed and the atmosphere of the crowd and stadiums are crazy

game is so annoying. i dont understand the whole bullet traveling thing. does the game involve gravity into the game cause im having a hard time running and gunning

First.. How did you unlock the mtar(multitalent badge.. I got the sniper.. Lmg.. Assault and grenade kill)

Second.. When sniping you see the bullet trail which is dope.. Running and gunning? You should be hip firing and always aim for the chest and up..

Aim down sights(Ads or L1) is slower than hip firing.. So hip fire first then ads once you get hit markers..
